I got my last piece of marauder yesterday and the rucksack, but I agree with you. The game needs some type of random boss encounters tossed in much like how you have the chance to encounter 20 treasure gobs. Maybe a random super hard diablo type boss who can face rape you for an hour but has assured legs on death?
Then people would complain RNG isn't giving them super hard diablo. If anything make it so the ubers have a greater chance of dropping set items or some shit.

I'm surprised ppl have stuck around this long, to be honest.

It's already more than two months after release and there's still quite a few casuals plugging along in my guild. Granted a few of them came back for 2.05 so I'm sure they'll be logging off again once they've caught their hubcaps and are out of set drops to sploit rif/kadala for. A couple of the regulars felt that they stuck around longer after 1.05 but that doesn't seem right. I remember seeing pretty much exactly the same folks running MP10 a few weeks after 1.05 and the crowd never changed after the population wandered off to their next immediate gratification.

I'm still enjoying my WD, looking forward to 2.1 pretty much solely for the fix to fetish caps but in the meantime I love trying out different builds like this poison/helltooth thing I'm trying with the Grin Reaper helm and CDR stacking. Haven't even really played the other classes much, though god knows I've farmed enough gear for them now.

They need more assured legs in the game. Why not guarantee a lego for going through an entire act and killing the boss? Why not guarantee a set item for resetting quests and going through the entire game and killing Malthael? Guarantee a lego for completing all 5 acts' worth of bounties. I'm not opposed to bosses having a certain loot table either, to give people a more focused grind to get some nice progression items. If nothing else it would at least give incentive and allow people to play the game the way they want to play it.

With the increased drop rate I can reliably get a legendary each clear of T4. Generally more. I usually get a set item every 500 shards as well.

More guaranteed legs wouldn't matter. That's why they allowed the anniversary buff to stay permanent because they KNOW it wouldn't matter. All the buff does now is just double your rate of forgotten souls per hour.

What would getting ANOTHER extra polearm or enchantress relic or blackthornes hoof per hour do to satisfy you? All it would do is further diminish the impact of getting of legendary drops (which is shit as it is).

Also the T6 (1) trick is still in to get 100 shards in a few minutes its just level 30 now, its still really easy to one shot all trash but super boring and level 30.

They remove the need to do bounties to open normal rifts yet? IMO they should be separate play styles and one shouldnt be required to do the other.

Problem isn't the assured legs but the fact that 98% of all leg drops are pure shit. So having more legs drop means nothing, I currently have about 409 lost souls and nothing to use them on since drop rates are ok but reasons to upgrade are not.

A standard $40 expac, yeah, it isn't shit. The expectation for a Diablo game + hiding so many different builds behind specific gear drops that you don't know when you might get them, yeah, the game is shit.
That's exactly what Diablo 2 was with runewords. You would get a rare rune you needed for a specific item and create a new character and build that specifically revolved around that awesome runeword. That didn't mean other builds weren't still great and viable.

Except most of the build-changing runewords involved heavily duped runes. So, yeah, it's exactly like Diablo 2: content and builds hidden behind poor/undependable drop rates.

Note, I am not saying the game is unplayable without 6 piece Akkhan, for example. I'm saying I've tried everything reasonable, now I want to try the other stuff.

When I get another DH Marauders set I'll be at 4 with the ring. Is it worth swapping over from fire for the companions

There were plenty of build changing runewords that you could realistically obtain without duping runes. Anything under a Ber/Sur was realistic, and there were lots of cool weaps and armor using mid-tier runes.

I wish I never found 4pc Leapquake because I stopped playing because the build is so boring. Downside is it is the only viable high torment build -_-

So...you're agreeing with me?
No, I'm saying having runewords of specific very rare items that you can tailor a build around doesn't make the game shit. It makes it so everyone isn't running the exact same cookie cutter build and gear.

Because you're bad. L2p noob. Fucking Terran players. All they know how to do is 1A.

Why not? Why even bother creating tantalizing items that 99% of your player base won't even see except in youtube videos? The problem here, after refreshing my memory of D2 runewords, is that the amount rare(if we consider a complete class set equal to a very rare runeword), is that D3 has made many more builds hard to achieve. What purpose does this achieve?

And don't say build diversification. That's a side affect of this, not the intent. You want your players to use varied builds? Design your items better. Don't artificially limit them from obtaining the really good ones.

There are tons of other items you can use that work just fine. What does it hurt having a few that are ultra rare? Would removing them make the game better somehow? Not like there are some encounters you absolutely can't do without a Cindercoat, Thunderfury, etc., and there certainly isn't anything close to a Zod rune equivalent in D3.

I really wish they got rid of STR/DEX/INT as rolls and instead items just roll with +XXX Main Stat. That way you can pretty easily transfer them around alts.
