Hmmm, wonder how lidless with 5 affixes compares to crusader shields since the latter can roll CDR and skill. The choices for crusader shields to use with a 1H is kinda underwhelming.

Yeah every shield is 10-20, and it fucking sucks cause you can't reroll it so if you actually care about block %(like crusader block builds), the item stats don't even matter if it rolls 10%. Should make all shields 15% or whatever.
5primaries I guess means every item you have now can be replaced by a 5primary one in 2.1. Might be item specific or affix specific though.

That sounds unlikely, I'm hardly finding room for 'vanilla' items with an interesting special effect because of set requirements, and in most cases those would outweight being able to pick an additional primary. Talking about Aughild 3-piece + Tal Rasha or Vyr here for my wizard, or marauder/aughild/T&T for my DH. Other classes might have more slots to spare. Since I was running Disintegrate and really liking the playstyle, the wizard is gonna be benched anyway I guess. That nerf is off the charts considering that the channel spells were doing okay but not uber, and their stationary nature was penalty enough imo.

Ring feels locked in tight between RoRG, SoJ and Unity, Amulet has plenty of choice where I would pick the special affix over a simple stat affix. Depending on availability of course, but you have the new Hellfire one and the whole range of immunity necks. Personally I was hoping for a well-rolled Tals amulet but if I actually play the wizard I'll make Hellfire amulets now. Which leaves weapon and offhand, pretty much (for my own char I'm glued to Tals orb there too).
I like the new special affix for bolas on that bow, my DH is already using the bolas quiver that makes them instant and with that they're nice for a builder. Currently using a xbow though, I'm not sure the loss in damage range is worth it.

From a quick glance there are 18 passive skills. Assuming this change means there are now 5 "best" passive skills that gives you ~25% chance you'll hit on one of the passives you need.

A 5primary SoJ is gonna be better than your current SoJ. It doesn't have special affix so it'd roll 5primaries, which on rings is easy to get a good one since there's so many good ring stats. Amulet with elem%/crit/critdmg/mainstat/attackspeed(or CDR) seems pretty strong, especially since you can't swap items in greater rifts so having the elemental immunity amulets isn't gonna do you much good unless you specifically know one mob affix you dislike and want to counter that.
Edit: Based on the datamined stuff, they're adding an item to make Chakram into a builder like Kriedershot with Elemental Arrow. Sounds pretty nice.

Why are people talking about their current items so much is not everyone planning on taking part in the ladder?
*shrug* looking forward to the blank slate grind again. I had more fun obtaining my gear than actually playing when I got it.

Well I would not assume SoJ to get a fifth primary - I expect that they pick and choose which items get that treatment instead of letting a database search assign them. If they do the latter then yea SoJ would go from best ring to bestest ring (set needs aside). Still no change in actual items worn though.
