I have no idea about good gob hunting locations. I could use some gold honestly, spent a shitton last night combining gems, rerolling, and crafting couple new things on my monk. Haven't gotten to play with it yet but it looks like a significant upgrade (smite legendary gem socketed, multiple set bonuses now, boost to SW % damage too). I need to find that lightning gem so hard, and a better ring to put it in.
I know you haven't had much luck with grift keys, but next time, purposefully tank the trial. And almost tank the ensuing grifts until you have all the gems. They are very high drop rate from the guardians and they won't drop one you don't already have unless another character has it on them.

I'd also suggest doing this to upgrade gems until the upgrade chance gets very low. No point in running a max level grift if you're just going to add 3 ranks to a level 0 gem. Unless there's some correlation between grift level and loot. I haven't seen one so far.

I think they said higher grift levels are supposed to give *potentially* more loot, but who knows at this point. And yea my second key I got I just let the timer run out after a couple waves to get a level 14 key.

Even before the improvements I made to his gear last night, my monk went from slowish T2 rift clears to almost efficient T4 clears. From just balance changes. So good job blizzard on that previous monk balance~

Yes it seems Monks and Crusaders are the two strongest classes at the moment after the changes with Wizard being the weakest currently although they said that balance wise all characters seems to be withing a couple of GR levels of one another. We shall see if that turns out to be true on live after a bit of time, I would be surprised if they balanced classes on how well they preform in Greater Rifts though.

As for getting more loot the higher greater rift levels so far I haven't seen anything that leads me to believe that I am ran as low as GR2-GR28 and loot drops in the end have been the same it's just the Gem upgrade % chances get better on the highest rifts.. but for the first few levels of a gem there is no reason to do high GR numbers.

Can you link your bnet profile? Curious how you're specced. I feel like lightning is great for damage, but against higher grifts, you either have to be cold/rimeheart or holy/sunwoko.

Booze, what's your criteria for comparison?

Trial keys are 100% at t6 as stated earlier. I can carry some ppl through some normal t6 rifts this weekend if need be to help them out.

Also, had a group of 3 DH last night and got a lvl36 grift key from a trial. God was that grift rape. Went from a 10ish minute clear of lvl32 to only getting 78% of lvl36 clear befor the timer came up. Jailer was 1 shoting all of us and ofncourse almost every elite pack had it as an affix.

As for grift loot. I always seem to get 2-4 legendsries (including) gems every grift.

I wish the vault was more common to. Finally got 1 on t6. Got about 100mil from it, but went through a decent amount maxxing all the gems for my 5 toons. Would probably be broke again if I had eseences to reroll items

It's probably safe to assume now that if a damage type is mentioned, it benefits from +elemental%.

Why is 2H fire silly now? Seems an odd choice for hardcore.
Oh, I'm not playing it in hc, just normal atm. No way am I doing 2h for hc unless maybe I get the monkey king set. It's just silly for the fact that seeing big numbers is forever amusing.

No idea if you were asking me or not, but here's me anyway:Lightning Monk. The 2 Asheara's pieces, Aug's chest, and the RoRG + gem are all newly equipped and haven't run with them yet but should be a nice boost especially vs. packs. Looking at my SoJ it's shockingly good actually, if it had a socket instead of resists I'd never replace it.

Epiphany is actually a free slot, I keep swapping things in and out of there but either cyclone strike or epiphany seem like the most useful so far. Passives are Seize the initiative, harmony, sixth sense, and alacrity.

I should probably blow more gold on that amulet to get the extra 3% crit chance or craft a bunch more rare ones, and see if I can get away with something other than LoH on my helm too. That amulet is expensive as hell to reroll though, took forever to even get that much crit, but it took god knows how many gems to craft it in the first place.

Edit: Feel free to look at the crusader build too. It only requires 3 specific legendaries to work which is pretty low for a lot of builds. The rest is crafted set items, and even with my sub-optimal rolls T4 is efficient and T5/T6 arguably fine in the right group.

Edit 2: God, all my characters have pretty meh amulets. I need some ammy loving. I think I've only seen a handful of legendary ones drop and none have been usable. I've got the lightning absorb one in the crusader inventory but it's too weak to do anything but swap out when it's really needed.

Is the crusader Blade of Prophecy with condemn still viable? I got a BoP last night and set piece legs for my 6 piece sader bonus. I would like to do the shotgun build but I'm lacking a FotF so I want to try another build for higher torments.

It was from some of the blue posts on the official forums, they said right now on the PTR classes have been about the total of 2 GR levels apart and that they were pretty happy with it overall. The classes that are getting the highest levels are Monks and Cruasders from what I saw. Also from reading around people say they are both in a solid spot. Wizards had some things adjusted that they just don't reach the same levels at the moment, they still do well just won't be over all top in GR's I don't think.

Also the higher up you go and the higher damage monsters are putting out the 30% DR reduction for the melee classes outshine anything else. Again you can take it with a grain of salt and we will see first hand in a few weeks.

DH is noticeably ahead of the other classes, in both live and end of season 4 ptr. Everyone else is pretty close together.

from yesterday's stream_sl said:
DHs being multiple Greater Rift levels above other classes is being regarded as a "slight problem". To the devs, the issue isn't just their damage but their sustain, how they can avoid most damage and that their Sentries can't die.
I would still say play what's fun. I don't think any class is gimpy enough to restrict gameplay options, like monks were before this patch.
