So for some reason this is 2.39:1 ratio, so naturally I decided to watch it on my 34" ultrawide gaming monitor.
It just doesn't work. It feels like this was made to be watched on 14" laptop displays, because the rapid cuts, the frequent use of computer screens with all their brighty whiteness just made this painful to watch. Especially those ultra-closeups to a single line of text are really annoying.
Why are there so many shows in cinema aspect ratio that are clearly meant to be watched on 16:9 end user devices?
