Uhh yeah so, Tool + Mastodon + The Sword had a baby. Best metal release in any sub-genre IMHO in a looooong time.

Both these bands have heavy 1960's Sabbath, Hendrix, Santana psychedelic vibe. Solid albums.

Ya, Elder is fucking epic. Super amazing. This album and Lore are just a lot awesome. Pretty amazing place they've discovered.


Check out Weedpecker if you get a chance. Their latest album is pretty solid and eerily similar to Elder.

Agree, however i would drop The Sword from that comparison. The Sword is straight fucking boring.
