Or Navi's new lineup is just that much better than before with the both the spark of motivation of being a new squad plus the fact that they are even stronger from an individual skill standpoint. It really lets them play that freeflow navi style with less common drafts by relying on the pure skill and awareness of dota that their players have.
I think matchmaking got exceptionally broken recently. I'm something like 3-12 in my last 15 games and looking through them, nearly all of them were complete facerolls.
I'm almost certain something is fucked. My games were roughly 50% win/loss for months and months. Most were fairly decent or at least alternated between good and bad matches. The past three weeks have put me on the verge of uninstalling.
Is there some secret to forcing steam to update dota2? I have no fucking idea how to start an update because sometimes steam just won't do shit.
Restarted steam about 4 times now, and even restarted my PC.... still saying client out of date and it's not downloading shit.

So I haven't played this since like...god, I don't even know, 6.4 something? Anyway, giving dota2 a try now. Seems mostly the same, but man have I forgotten a lot. Having a real hard time recognizing heros by their model so far, or even telling them apart really.
Am I still safe starting tangos and a few stat items or wand on most people, or is there a different starting set now?
Got Timbersaw as my first random and liked him enough to stick with him a few games. I don't recall him being in the old one unless he's a super updated version of the goblin shredder? He seems pretty solid though, maxing his E turns on godmode it seems and let's you faceroll jungle and tank turrets all day. I pretty much try and soak as much damage as possible in teamfights + clog shit up with his R thing. Where does he stand on the difficulty scale these days? His early game seems relatively weak, but once he gets going he's treated me well thus far.

Tangos, branches, a salve, and depending on role, courier/wards/shield/quelling blade/circlet, etc. Standard stuff still unless you random and can get more.
As for Timber; he's a pub hero and not competitive, but certainly fun, which is what this game is supposed to be about (but isn't when you go 0-15 in 15 games because your teammates have never played before and somehow are in the VH bracket...)

Man they have added a lot of new heros. Just got done with Wisp by random and he seems really hilarious. He can heal for such bonkers amounts through tether, it's unreal. Heart of tarrasque, mekanism and the urn thingy = whoever I'm tethering basically cannot die. And that attack speed buff on drow...jebus.
Never really did get to teleport anywhere though, as the game quickly devolved in to 5man everything lest we get murdered by enemy troll warlord that went like 10-0 in 10 minutes.
