I have not done my predictions yet due to traveling over the Memorial Day weekend, but went hunting and found this spreadsheet. Seems to be the most up to date?

DC isn't a bad pick, they are on a similar streak to OG before Frankfurt, but I don't believe they have enough depth to carry them through Newbee/TL. Wings is another dark horse that I think should make top4. Really, the scene is quite volatile, besidess OG/TL/Newbee I have trouble picking favorites and I feel like even if a team completely bombs here as long as there are no problems inside the team, they are still in a position to make a deep run at TI. I'm looking at LGD/Secret/EG, mainly Secret though because I feel like one of the reasons they failed at TI was because everybody prepared for them so much.

Secret is also an example of great players != great team. Individually they are pretty good, but their team cohesion (or lack thereof) usually ends up being their downfall.

Yeah, Secret is the one team I think has no shot at it and I have pretty good confidence in that.

Literally every time I watch this new roster, there's no cohesion at all there.

I have too many favorite teams right now. I wanna see DC win because somehow I became a fangay for 'em after Secret Red Weddinged Misery and Wee. As someone who plays mostly pos 4, Jerax is god damn amazing so I like Liquid and I think Fata is realizing his potential from c9 days (ee said once an interview he was their most talented player). OG is gucci. EG storyline of becoming back to back world champs would be awesome. EE is my favorite autist, too. Good lord, when I first started playing dota2 after TI3 I thought EE was the biggest fucking idiot I'd ever seen. Fast forward to summer '15 and I realized EE may just be the biggest dota2 genius.

I know people were talking about FV a bit for this patch, but I keep watching games and I swear it's just a worthless hero. Chrono is basically only good for removing a few heroes from the fight for a handful of seconds, but as a carry FV just has garbage damage.

It's so frustrating to see a perfect Chrono, and then an FV who chips away 1/4 of a hero's health and then gets turned around on and his team decimated.

I've seen a few pro games where the FV team wins, but it's more because the rest of the team is dominating and the FV is just kind of along for the ride.

Faceless Void is not an every game carry, his 1v1 potential doesn't appear until late game and it never has, even to his rework (where it is diminished). Chrono's value is directly proportional to how much damage your team can put into the sphere, Void is also weak to burst damage and hard CC that happens faster than the cooldown of timewalk. Chrono can end games, but not having Chrono can also lose the game. Also, a perfect Chrono leads to a won teamfight or a pick, don't tell yourself a solo void that can only do 1/4th of a targets life during Chrono made a good choice to use it. A great initiation with no follow up is still a bad initiation in the context of the game. Void gets run as an offlaner in pro games much more often than a 1 position as the centerpiece of a teamfight composition.

I should clarify that I'm talking about pro games here. I've noticed it for a while, but I was watching an MVP game and it was just horrendous. He landed awesome Chrono's with team support there, but because FV doesn't do shit for damage it just ended up delaying their ass whooping.

As much as I hate the Dota 2 community it's still funny sometimes. Playing BB so the entire enemy team has wands/sticks. 20 or so minutes in they give up because their mid NP derped out after I stopped him from solo pushing a few times. They ask for FF, I all chat for them to throw down their magic sticks and bend the knee after we rosh - we team push bot and as soon as I walk up the ramp there are 4 magic sticks waiting for me under the tower and a oracle/sb holding position. The until this point mute 4-stack with me destroys them while I whack the tower but start cracking up in chat - when the other team starts saying random things like my knees don't bend anymore and what not.

I think the issue w/ Secret is they don't know what to do with Universe, with Arteezy & EE's playstyle he needs to be a space maker but they keep giving him heroes like Void & Dark Seer both of which aren't strong in the meta and can't do shit by themselves.

Dark Seer seems totally worthless atm, even seemingly good vac + wall combos rarely accomplish anything. My guess is that because games end early, there aren't strong right-clickers.

See, I have trouble judging them solely by the Epicenter games and even then those were over two weeks ago, which can be ages in new patch meta. BM has been getting banned left and right, so is phoenix. We might see offlane shaker or centaur, since it seems like you pick that position to teamfight and honestly he is pretty good counter to phoenix ulti.

This Battle Pass has gifted me with some pretty nice series of games. I should probably quit Dota now because I'll never achieve this in actual ranked gameplay, and probably never again in unranked (think there are two more wins below I couldn't fit on screen). The PA game in the middle is one of those, "Yeah but that really doesn't count b/c my team was afk at 5 mins and a bunch of retard - games."

On the plus side Manila starting in 3.5 hours. 4 streams at once with OG, Na'Vi, NewB, Secret. Going to be hard to focus.

Working overnight is great for these Chinese/SEA Majors, just watch DotA all night while doing my thing.

That's totally possible in ranked man, you just gotta believe! I have a similar string that happened over the past week as I finally climbed to 4k from ~3.1k back in March, not sure if I should retire to unranked at this point or what because I don't see another streak like that ever happening again haha. Out of curiosity, is the (defunct) rerolled channel still just "Rerolled"? I sit in there but I've never seen another person in there ever, not sure if I joined the wrong channel or it really is just that dead. Could be fun to get some games going if we had a few online sometime.

Yeah, it is still just Rerolled. I'm usually idle in there (Available Light / barnsohard) and then a few others if they're on. When the Reborn client rolled out the custom channels / guilds or whatever were all messed up so it kind of died out.

Ok so I'm probably retarded, but just in case anyone else has this happen to them, I had been going to the "private" tab of "add channel" which apparently just creates a private rerolled channel for myself. You have to use the "user" tab to find the actual RR crew. I had been sitting alone in a private channel for about 6 months now.
