There was some discussion on the panel before the first game this morning. Both Fogged & Winter actually thought that people playing the second series had the advantage as they'd be on a roll and not had a cooling off period. I would have said as did Sheever & Machine that being able to watch your opponents was an advantage.
Not sure what you could do other than alternate games for the two series.

Momentum is a hell of a thing, I'd say it heavily favors AF. Like Rethan said, they're playing with house money, full of adrenaline, and ready to go. Not saying they'll win, but people with nothing to lose are a scary thing. OG is riding that 3 major....

Anyone know about what the purchasing power of 500k US dollar in greece is? I know they use the euro but it's still gotta be pretty good.

500k is roughly 480k euro?
I world expect local stuff like housing and services are much cheaper in Greece but all the imported goods are more expensive than the US.
Taxes might be an issue, I would guess they have a high tax rate, plus don't they also have to pay US taxes on it?
Still, could probably easily live comfortably for 2 years in sure.

At 20 minutes I think aF is in trouble, only one scaling core and the weaver is poor. Mean while 3 scaling cores who are keeping up on OG

This reminds me of TI 5 when CDEC stormed through to the finals, got a bunch of hype, and then got stomped by EG in the finals
This major has to be one of the weakest for teams. Lot like Manila where the scene was in disarray.

What do you mean? Just the team pool in general was pretty weak, as far as skill?

Game one really wasn't that out of reach for AF, but they seriously didn't think about the magic damage luna build. It really caught them by surprise. I think that loss was really up to the cleverness of that aghs build more than anything. Neutering the SD illusion meta and creating just almost untenable teamfights for non-bkb holders.
The performances seem inconsistent. Maybe it's just the nature of the patch and meta that often results in one sided games.
I would lean more towards roster instability with relatively few tournaments being played has lead to worse teamplay even if we probably have more players with high levels of mechanical skill than ever.
