ah ok thanks, guess vods arent up only thing i see is empire vs qpad, but that was a week ago im assuming the game was played today ill have to wait.
Well...taking a break from Dota until PL is patched. Dont think ive played a single game without PL insta picked in the past 20~...getting old
Stick to LP, AR and SD if you cant handle the PL.

Me and a friend just went PL/Kotl for some fun lols in the lower bracket. He didn't even have a heart and he was sending his illusions into the fountain to get free kills.
We then got a PL/Kotl picked on us. Proceeded to pick Lycan while he picked Nyx. We stayed on his ass the whole game and proceeded to push hard at the 15 minute mark. Had a rax by 20ish and PL had Treads/Aquila from all the Nyx ganks. Yea he's stupid if left unchecked. And if you let him farm a Difusal or a Heart you probably lost. Yes this shouldn't be the case for any hero. But there are ways around it. He isn't perma banned in pro games because push comps can deal with it.
If you find yourself in a comp that can't push like that, pick somebody that can toe to toe with him like Gyro

but if you know you're going up against PL, you and your team should know to shut him down early and do everything in your power to not let him get big, aka warding taking control of their jungle, you know playing smart?

i dont queue with a 5 stack, so getting pubbies to pick well vs a PL isnt gonna happen in all cases even at pro bracket level...

I dont que in a 5stack, i que in the shit brackett and it isnt really hard to get your team to listen if you have a mic and somewhat know what you're talking about most people will follow and listen as you ping along take the innitiative and dont be a pretentious cock to your teamates off the rip.
how is he the only hero that makes the game revolve around them, furion just to name one can make the game revolve around him just off split pushing, nobody is saying hes not stronger than other champs but you must be new to dota if you think you arent going to run into another pub stomping hero after he gets adjusted thats why people are saying suck it the fuck up and take your lumps or switch modes, or get a few friends.

Any game with a hard carry of the caliber of pl, naix, antimage void etc. The game ALWAYS revolves around them, especially if your team doesn't have a competing hero. If one of those heroes gets picked you better be ganking them like mad and working to take over the map. Yes PL is a bit stronger faster than those other heroes right now, but not by an amount that alters how you play the first 20 minutes of a game against such a carry, you either must absolutely destroy the rest of that carries team and push, or destroy him and push. Any game that goes 50 minutes with any of the ultra late game team wipers will almost always go to the teamwiper if farm is equal, Its part of Dota. People in Low brackets, tend to get a lead against such a hero, then dive for more kills until the time for their team winning has passed and then they lose.
Regardless, go all random if you don't want to see PL much or care about picking and or playing against a specific heroe's game impact.

I agree with the couple posters above me. My PL experience hasn't been that bad. First, he isn't picked in too many of my games (I play all pick). It's nothing like when Drow was OP. I must have seen her in 80% of my matches then. PL isn't even 50%. Second, when he is picked playing against him is like playing against Void, AM, or other strong late game carries. I'll usually saying something to the team like "they have PL so lets try to win by 45 min" like I do when they have Void, etc. I don't 5 stack so sometimes my team plays with purpose and sometimes people sit around and farm until it's too late. It's the same with ganking him early, not letting him free farm, and buying sentries.

Maybe we are just good at harass/deny. PL is definitely crazy now in the right hands, don't let me steer anything away from that. When he gets rolling he reminds me of early vanilla Naix in terms of "you won't be able to fuck with this bud".
I dunno, I just see paying strict attention to him and laying down some hard harass + stun to either finish or send him back to work well. Can't say I saw a lot of dazzle, that could get real out of hand. I kinda fight him like brood mother in terms of how "try hard" I am with harass/smart dust or ward. If I waste the ward, I have trouble. If we can stun combo him with smart warding and harass, ain't so bad but like others have mentioned he can just sneak off somewhere and level outrageously well on his own. I'll have to scare up a replay next time I can get my pals on (who are currently in SC2 lock down). Haven't tried to counter him with ODS (love him) yet to see how viable that is, but again, my play time is much lower.
One thing's for sure since playing lots of dota2 before coming back to SC 2 for a while. My micro might even be high masters, but my obsession with controlling and not losing single units leads to a strong draw away from macro type play. Maybe I need to play some Meepo lol.
Just played a SD with PL on the other team, i went viper mid got FB rotated down after that to gank PL, from there kept the harass up made them team fight never gave him room to farm, even though my team was retarded i managed to keep him under control, it was hard for him to have an army before a fight so i basically just ult'd on him instantly and kept track of that PL and it was as easy as that, if i didnt do it he got up an army quick and we lost each team fight.

PL is op and everyone arguing otherwise is out of their mind. The only time PL "gets shut down" is when he's playing with 4 other idiots who lose the game for him. A hard carry should play like a wet noodle in early+ mid game yet he's versatile enough that he actually contributes a decent amount with spirit lance. And once he gets diffusal he can stall long enough to get fat because each spirit lance fucks over most supports to half life every 7 seconds at range.
Antimage is similar to him with 3 notable differences that make him balanced:
1. Antimage is weaker at the beginning but tends to steamroll the farm once he gets bfury.
2. Antimage is actually manageable with good teamwork and chaining of stuns/hexes lategame; PL isn't
3. Antimage can't push 2 lanes from rax to rax like PL.
