I loved techies in Dota 1 and the satisfaction from laying a stack of mines/remotes and getting a kill is just as strong as it was back then

If you didn't check/notice the individual hero challenge can be found inside your profile panel. Keeps track of your attempts/hero and total attempts to win one game with the whole cast in a random order. An in game A to Z - but randomized.

I dunno how anyone can pick a QoP into a Doom. That game was so painful to watch for Dendi.

How is the hero challenge going? I have 14 down in 17 tries. Surprisingly, my losses came on the first time with 3 OP heroes Lycan, Viper, and Razor. Has there been anyone to complete the whole thing yet?

My first hero was meepo - which just I don't enjoy at all and of course play at garbage tier. We'll see how many games it takes to get carried or I figure out my hands. I'm a solid 0-1

I'm gonna play a 5 position meepo. My team was Night Stalker, Luna, Pudge, Techies, Meepo against. Void Enigma Invoker Alchemist and Kotl. 0-2.

My worst so far was Earth Spirit, think it took me 5 or 6 tries as my positioning with him was always poor. Didn't help that I almost always ended up solo mid or off-lane which I don't think he's that strong at, finally won when I could just support.

Can someone give me a quick explanation of FV's Chronosphere? The in-game explanation is unclear and I haven't found any clear write ups on it.

I encountered it the other day when the opposing team's FV was using it when I would close in for a gank. I wasn't clear on what in the hell it was doing so I normally just hauled ass.

What do you want to know about it? When FV casts it all heroes within the sphere are frozen in place even if they are invised, FV then gets extra movement speed inside the sphere and does extra damage to units that get stunned by his passive.

Basically, anyone other than FV who's inside of it is frozen for the duration of it. FV gets a movement speed bonus inside of it. If you're playing against it, you want to make sure your team stays relatively spread out, so that it's harder for FV to get a good chrono off that locks up all or the majority of your team. It's also used sometimes if you're ganking FV for him to get away with a TP or just running. You can attack FV from outside the sphere while he's inside it if you've got the range. Other heroes that are frozen inside can also be attacked from outside. This will freeze members of FV's team as well. I can't remember how BKB interacts with it.

It goes through all magic immunities, it freezes even buildings (including your own) so towers don't shoot. Chrono doesn't affect only FV and units he contrrols, so if rubbick steals it, it still stuns everybody, even him, except FV, so it's not that good spell to steal. That is why you sometimes see FV with Necronomicon, the minions can murder the poor guy inside the sphere. The only other unit unaffected by it are couriers.

I think Shadow Shaman is my new rating-whoring hero, so much power all game long and solo kills towers on top.

I missed techies so much.

Only playing all pick with them, have about 70% win rate with them so far. Solo queue.

Chrono doesn't affect Rubick if you steal it. Doesn't affect Void either though, but he doesn't get the movespeed bonus nor the additional bash damage procs.

Also of note, Chrono automatically reveals anything frozen in it. Good for ganking stealthers.

It has a few weird interactions with stuff due to how it was coded in Dota1, but in general, you can consider it as a large aoe stun that affects everything but Void and his units(illusions/necrobook/dominated creep).

Thanks for the explanation guys. That clears it up.

It seemed a couple of times like I was taking damage when he cast it in defense of another player but that was probably either tower or a ranged creep.
