I don't know much about the main artist, but I like the guy who remixed it.

Lots of nice music in this thread, sadly I have nothing to offer that isn't already here.

Little People is outstanding. Phaeleh has some super nice tracks. Biggest disappointment is Emika, that Double Edge (Pinch Remix) is pretty badass, but nothing else she has comes close. =/

Also, anyone have a name for the girl in the video up above by LOL Boys - Changes (Shlohmo Remix)?

Another vote for Carbon Based Lifeforms. Their first two albums are some of the best electronic music I've ever heard - in any genre. A lot of ambient/downtempo stuff gets boring due to simple predictable melodies and repetition. But these guys add so many layers of complexity to their tracks and nobody really sounds much like them. These albums are also far stronger when listened in entirety, kinda like like Pink Floyd - The Wall or other concept albums.

Yep, I agree. Especially about listening to the albums in their entirety. The tracks are made to compliment each other. Though Solar Fields is probably my favorite with CBL in a close second.

Solar Fields - Movements [Full Album] - YouTubeandSolar Fields - Leaving Home [Full Album] - YouTubeare up there with World of Sleepers and Hydroponic Garden, and the rest of the albums (including the Mirror's Edge soundtrack) are really great as well. I know they both have collab'd on a few things.

Glad someone already posted some Tycho. Totally obessed with this song. The rest of it is good, but the first minute is amazing. Something about it is like uplifting depression music. Like a bright sunny, cold desolate winter day.



Don't know if it really belongs here, but I've also gotten into Chillwave/Trip Hop which i guess is an offshoot of Downtempo. Really digging Phantogram and Blue Foundation.







And for good measure their Zed's Dead remix.

I have a hard time listening to Tycho ever since I realized it all sounds background music samples from a Sprint Commercial.

Tycho - Dive - YouTubeis one of my favorite Tycho, but it still sounds like it's trying to sell me an empowering mobile device or probiotic yogurt.

Just starting to get into Soular Order's stuff which apparently is more on the Chillstep/Future Garage side of Downtempo.


Also really digging Shigeto's style.


Lapalux is pretty solid
