The game client download is hefty, 10GB. I had some Station Cash to burn, so I have been playing for a few days. Here are the impressions:
1. Stability - I run the game on a HP laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium with an AT&T U-Verse connection. No crashes, lockups, or disconnects. I do experience some weirdness alt+tab'n to a web browser, otherwise seems fine.
2. Graphics - The client defaulted to some conservative settings, I do not think it detected my Intel chipset capabilities. My character is wading in water that ripples and flows around the model, looks good.
3. Aesthetics - Tough call, Runewaker went with fewer player character models so I would expect a stronger showing in other areas ... animations?
4. Audio - Solid, adds to overall immersion.
5. Game - Easy to play and get into, but will require some research if you want to optimize play. I am still trying to puzzle out crafting and dragon training.
6. Game Design - Everything you hate and like about DIKU mmo's is in this game. Game is extremely vulnerable to people who like the "Fansy the Famous Bard" playstyle.
7. Community - Reasonable, folks in zone chat are helpful. SOE GM's do events and stream live on twitch tv (Scales & Tales Live Stream).
