Just a super-abbreviated update:

On the Suna server someone saw that the Algerian gov't was doing payouts based on clutch %, so we saw that and went at it with aplomb. What could be better than helping out your country, being clutch AND being paid for it? We saw how we were blowing everyone out of the water by being clutch and were pretty excited...


Then they told us that they weren't going to pay us for our efforts.


If memory serves, they originally offered us 1/4 of what the stated rate had been (as we were a small MU with like 5 people at the time?), which of course pissed us right the fuck off. Then we got broadsided with a plethora of excuses, though the one that hit a nerve with me was"you guys weren't anAPPROVEDMU!". Translation: the people running the gov't (mostly Deltafags) had implemented a terrible payout mechanic and they didn't want to pay a small MU. Add to that their self-serving paradigm of having the leaders in gov't giving their own MUs tax revenue so that they could hit out as much as possible, and creating a situation where those MUs could only do the damage that they used to justify further gov't payouts by having those payouts to begin with.

Anyways, my mangled explanation aside, they didn't want to pay us and we decided to fight back.

For over a month we fought against Algeria in every battle we could find, and Algeria went from holding a large chunk of Africa to only having 1 of their core regions (if memory serves). We can't take all the credit obviously, but prior Algerian hubris had left them very unpopular and we did everything we could to flip their battles against the invading Huns (which they like to call 'potatoes'). That, and the trollings...I'm not sure how many people actually quit over our shenanigans but quite a few at least said that they were quitting. They seemed torn with us being a small 10-man MU - one day they would call us a small, insignificant MU that didn't merit consideration, then the next day we'd flip a battle or 5 and they would be yelling and screaming that we were all assholes for 'destroying Algeria'. I do feel that in some sense we defeated Algeria proper, when all is said and done.

Probably one of the most hilarious instances occurred when Lejina saw that Mapqhawk, a guy who owned an SC that Lejina had shares in, was making some shady transactions. With everyone already on edge and furious with us, this set the stage for Mapqhawk's meltdown: Lejina sent a polite PM asking WTH, and the guy hit critical mass. Without posting tons of screenshots, suffice to say that eventually he tried to downgrade and sell his SC to "get back" at Lejina, and in the end not only did he end up backstabbing his own friends in Delta (his biggest backers) but Lejina and others eventually made more money later when the new SC owner liquidated everything. He then declared himself triumphant as we all sat back and laughed at the loss he took in hundreds of gold just to spite Lejina, followed by him leaving for Mali in shame.

Now Norrahc is CP as part of our peace deal (I never heard specifics lol) and we have to actually fight FOR Algeria now. /sadness



I still see a bunch of people clicking in Secura SK, though China/Taiwan had a huge babyboom. A bunch of Primera chinese came to secura but they ended up having a schism of sorts so now they're (Primera China) trying to PTO SK (which is hilarious on more than a few levels).

Dunno, but whoever you mail it to, make sure that it's an actual SK bro and not to someone/something else. I have no idea if SK will ever start back up again and the number of PTO multis/bots/etc is steadily growing.

The Taiwanese PTO (or whoever they belong to) finally got a CP elected after 6 months. While I don't think the odds of winning are good, the few of us left are going to give it a go so if you feel like dropping some hits then now wouldn't be a bad time.


EDIT: or if you have no interest in fighting you can always just log in and vote for the civil war just in case they try a last-minute vote blitz to deny us a 33% voting block.

Round 3 resulted in a very,VERYnice clutch considering that it was 6 of us versus quite a few Chinese multis and Taiwanese PTOers. Think we went at around T-1:25 or so but I didn't even see the battle update until almost 30s after the round closed.




Also, we had a few [raughs]

Update: On Suna, Admin announced that they are going to reset the server (along with econ and Str I think) while adding in more nations and random resources? So the server is dead as fuck until that happens.

Secura: Taiwan and China have been far more powerful, as we had predicted. Taiwan tried taking the US and we were asked if we wanted to free SK. Our answer was that we couldn't hold onto SK even if we managed to free SK, but the US and their alliance it seems decided to start a bunch of RWs anyways. So now we're at the epicenter of a mega clusterfuck with shitloads of people flooding into SK to try screwing with Taiwan and their horde of multis.

Jeolla is the current big battle with thedaychange round having just over 900m damage donein one round alone. Fred opened up a battle for the capital in addition to the RW so things should be interesting for a couple of days at least.

Pretty decent for a shitty game where most of us quit SK months ago.

A few of us diehards...but some people still just 2 click and others only log in to troll the PTO. People still hang out in IRC to bullshit though, more than anything else


EDIT: round 12 just closed with just over 1.6 billion damage done in that round alone. As of the beginning of round 13, the entire battle is rocking 3.6 billion total. The first few rounds were really small by comparison.
