They probably haven't even really started. They need, at maximum, 3-4 weeks to port over the latest Battlefield and change the uniform skins, gun skins, and jet skins. I think they are all on a company retreat doing blow and hookers until October...

My only problem with the Star Wars Battlefront is no single player. I enjoyed the single player campaigns on the previous games.

That was my feeling too. Haven't played a Battlefield, CoD, or anything like that since some of the originals, so reskin doesn't mean anything to me either. If it is 75% of what they showed in the trailer and game modes in other locations are as interesting, looks like it'll be great.

This EA conference is probably the worst E3 presentation I have seen.

Star Wars Battlefield/front looked great though, but I think Utnayan is right with it not being on the PS4.

Just a reminder to everyone: There isn'tanE3. There arefourE3s.

1) The original purpose is the retailer E3. "Hey Target, this year's Call of Duty is great! You better order 10% more copies than last time!"
2) Then there's the stock market E3. "Hey Pachter, this year's Call of Duty is great! We expect 10% more sales than last year and share to rise sharply! Call of Duty is back!"

Keep in mind, Nintendo continues to rent out a Theatre and hold a conference, just like they have for years. They just don't invite the press to it anymore- just the two groups above. The E3 we see is way low on the totem pole.

3) The Business Development E3. "Let's sign this deal on this new project while we're in town", or "I'm looking for work if you hear anything", or "Let us know if you aren't happy where you are anymore."
4) The Press E3 we know and love, which is slowly dying as press coverage gets taken over by in-house PR teams and co-opted bloggers/youtubers.

Dice has been tweaking bf4 a lot lately. A few of us joked a few weeks ago that those of us still playing that instead of Hardline (which is another studio) are really testing a pre-battlefront engine loadout.

I haven't played Hardline in a while but the last time I did their engine was about 2 builds behind bf4s.

I don't think it's a complete reskin since the perspective and aiming are so different. It'll take a while to adjust.

Yeah Nintendo has already completely phased out the press coverage/bloggers. They do a big Nintendo Direct streaming event, and then 3 days of Treehouse (the NA Localization team) live streaming the gameplay (with game developers and special guests) directly to the consumer - it was a huge hit last year.

I thought MS had a bunch of first party exclusives to unveil this E3? That was the rumor anyways. Pretty disappointed it was only Halo, Gears, and Forza.
