i mean a pirates MP game sounds great in theory but there was an MMO a few years ago that was basically this, and it gets boring after a bit. after a while sailing a slow ass ship which takes 2 minutes to rotate and fights heavily dependent on wind is just not that fun compared to FPS, cars, etc. they'll tack on trading and shit to try and make it richer but all that stuff just makes the game even more boring.

As long as it's also got compelling single player content, they've got a sale from me.
Honestly, at this point, I feel like Ubisoft ought to conclude AC's story, and do more games along this line: no shared Assassin narrative, just open world historical settings that have you playing as iconic archetypes from history (pirates, knights, cowboys, whatever).
