Larian Studios making Baldur's Gate 3 is the only thing I care about in regards to upcoming games. It is all the hope and something to look forward to that I need.
All these other "AAA" studios and mega developers can go fuck themselves. They don't even make games anymore, just half baked micro-transaction machines.
swen and Mike Mearls did an interview with day9 in the pc game show. Was there any BG3 news today yet?
Their older game Slain was pretty so so. I mean I got it for like 3euros or some shit so not gonna complain, it was well worth THAT money, but honestly it was a 15euros game top, it was short, and it wasn't particularily interesting. Good music though.Valfaris reminds me of Super Contra 4, fuck yeah.

5e was mentioned.
200 years after last one. "focus on the city"
"emergent combat"
no release date.
Tabletop prequel book sept.
It was in fact actually 100 years.200 years would put it ahead of whatever the "current" FR timeline was I thought. Will definitely look forward to it, BG games and BG 2 in particular were amazing.

On the SE side of things, wasn't there a game they were making with Platinum? Babel-something, Babylon-something?
*goes to check*
Babylon's Fall, that was it. So we might see what that game is all about.
But yeah, Avengers is sitting right at the top of my hype list for this evening.
Yeah, BG3 is a hundred-ish years after the first two games.Do you mean they meant that BG 3 takes place 100 years after BG 1? BG 1 was like 1368 in FR timeline, the last "current" year for the FR timeline was like 1491 so that would be a bit more than 100 years but ~75 years short of 200 year gap.

This looks pretty similar, only SF-ish, so I wouldn't expect miracles.
Yeah I played it pretty recently actually, like 4-5months ago or so. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't great, combat was pretty average and the game was still very short. I didn't 100% it I think there were a bunch of secrets I didn't get and couldn't be bothered replaying levels to get them. As I said I think it was ok for a 15-20bucks game but it's certainly not a high quality indie game like say Hollow Knight. Different genres obviously just an example. Maybe the new game will be better, just was saying you shouldn't expect it to be some stealth goty indie game thing.Did you play the fixed version? The original release was pretty garbage but the 1.5 version of it cleaned up movement/combat a ton and added some stuff and made it in to a pretty solid B+ kind of thing. If they can grow from that base on this one it could be quite good.
