At this point after probably 3+ hours I got her to 25% of phase 1, I've also dodged the first flurry 3 or 4 times without getting hit, along with a handful of times where I got one or two small hits.
My problem is that after she does it once, you never know exactly when she is gonna donit again and that fucks my whole confidencen up.
If I can make it into phase 2 I'll probably end up going the pot route but Inreally thought I could do it without. Dont get me wrong, the fight is fun and fair for the MOST part, but that special is fucking lame.
Edit: I'm also slowly drinking so I can ser my reaction times slowly getting worse, probably not the best idea since my name isn't

absolutely nothing beats beating a boss and not remembering it and watching the video achievement on ps5 as you did absolutely nothing but run around into walls and shit.

Man if she’s getting 3-4 flurries off your damage is really low. I aimed for 0-1 by being hyper aggressive with dual great swords/staggering and stance breaking her. Yeah, but he uses his fist for his main attack because if you equip a weapon that is kinda cheesing the boss imo

Nah I am using a +10 gold halberd, when she hits 70% or whatever Im prepared for it and can usually survive.
But after that she does it whenever she wants so I panic and play less aggresive. Ive never had a fight with more than 3 flurries, which was when I had her to 25%.
If I had a better idea when she was gonna do it I think I'd be fine, just seems like she does it whenever she feels like. If I'm too close I die.

Try hitting her when she floats in the air prepping for it and see what happens. That’s how I discovered I could cancel her attack with The moonlight Greatsword. I don’t know if it was ice related or just a chunky enough hit it stopped it, but worth a shot.

lol. I finally watched how to get OP early in current patch. That is tempting to play. But I want to learn to play the game right. About to hit up margrit. Again I’ve dicked around to nearly 33 in the first two zones. So much fucking content.

I've been practicing naked anyway, and I do have that sword, so maybe I'll go thatnroyte when I try tomorrow. Really wanted to get to phase 2 the way I'm doing it but might make all the difference

Played through some of Stormveil castle but starting to get bored. Getting tired of beating up hordes of same dickheads only to get 2 shotted by some plate knight with a halberd. I made it to the rooftops and the eagles with exploding fire barrels.
Game is turning into a bit of a grind. I know I can just fast travel to another grace spot and go do something else, but its just more grind in a different location.

I'm in need of a good single player game. I just finished AC Valhalla and it was ok. Had WD Legion and Farcry 6 in queue from bundles in hardware purchases but both kinda fizzled out after an hour or two.
I've never played a souls game but thinking of buying this one as it gets pretty much all positive reviews. The only thing I can see is me rage quitting from stupid hard bosses. But I'm guessing you can make them a little easier by powering up with side stuff.
Is it a good first FromSoftware game to try? I also looked a bit at Sekiro but kinda wanted to try the new one first.

I just finished AC Odessey then played this as my first FromSoftware game.
It's great, go for it. If the difficulty bothers you, you can just google a build and target those upgrades instead of randomly exploring - so you control the difficulty ultimately.
