PS5 for me. From Software and their do nothing about cheaters on Steam will keep me away from PC releases as long as I can play 60 FPS on console. DS2 has great PVP, and the only viable place is consoles because PC is such a shitstorm for cheaters.

I really want to play it on PC for the graphics and future mods but at the same time I need to buy my first game for my PS5. Tired of it sitting there and not getting played. Anyway what’s a good safe class/build for someone new to the Dark Soul series to start with?

Nope. Actually the only game I have on my PS5 is God of War and that is because I already bought it on the PS4 and I downloaded on my PS5.

I just came here to link that. Yeah, I'm going wretch myself. I like the low-level, totally-customizable class in the other games too. In Dark 1 it was Pyromancer that started at level 1 for some reason, but I think the rest were the Deprived equivalents. In any case I'm gonna go with that and then start trying other stuff later.

If you have never played any of the DS games, then I would suggest playing a melee type build. If Elden Ring is like it’s predecessors, then don’t get hung up too much on which class you start with. As you level you can put your stats in any fashion that you wish. Starting classes only are defined by their starting items and having their initial stats preset a certain way.

Starting class is pretty meaningless outside of newbie gear that will be replaced early on anyways

Yeah generally starting class doesn't matter a whole lot outside of the first 3 hours or so. Except for Pyromancer in DkS1 because the pyro flame is such a PITA to get otherwise and not until 5-10 hrs into a first run for most people.

I believe all the leaks are console thus far. There is confirmed reports that the PC version is experiencing stuttering no matter the hardware level. Most say its minor and expect it to be fixed shortly after release. I'm still getting it on Steam, as I haven't felt like engaging in knife fights in a dark alley to try and get a PS5.

I hope Asmon is doing better than the main stream, this French guy is fucking atrocious. Seemingly first time Souls Player, exactly what I want for my big Preview Event.

Asmon isn't awful but its mostly just to listen to his usual dumbass banter. He didn't do any of the previous events so its nothing new. He likely wont get as far as the previous network event guys did.

This is sad and hilarious. On to the second streamer now, they have the dev's guiding them to miniboss caves... and they are failing terribly to get to them, then failing repeatedly at the bosses once reaching them. These games are clearly not for everyone.
