Sounds pretty similar to the faith version I use (Blasphemous instead of DMGS, Flame Grant Me Strength instead of Frostbite). Probably a lot less stat investment required though, since DMGS scales poorly with everything but int, while Blasphemous needs a 80 faith+ 40/40 quality setup. But at the same time, Sword of Milos scales only scales with quality build (wish it scaled with arcane so that it would get the bleed proc increase) so it won't hit terribly hard without investing in str/dex too.

Yeah my build is not optimized at all. I just level shit til I can equip weapons. I offhand blasphemous when I need heals, offhand Milo’s when I need dmg.

Usually in these Souls games i like to get main stat to 99 while getting others slowly to soft cap.

For this game, there’s so much cool shit to use im going the opposite. I’m getting str/dex/vig/end to 40 each, then either int or faith to 40 (currently faith). This lets me try out all sorts of stuff w/o having to respec.

Obviously this is suboptimal to put out max damage, but even in NG+ I’m good enough now where it’s not a big deal. If people can beat bosses with the starting club I can at least try with less than perfect stats and items.

Anything over 80 in dps stats is a complete waste this time, except for Arcane which is weird and has different softcaps depending on whether you're scaling status procs, spell damage, or weapon damage (45 for bleed is the one most people care about). Vigor's pretty bad over 50, Mind scales well but is kind of pointless past 40-45 because 40 is equal to what the max upgraded flask refills, Endurance should probably never go past 50 unless you have a specific set of gear that you really want to get below 70%.

And my wife may not be "gettin gud", but she is dodging shit I would struggle with largely because her double wand swinging ass has to. Meanwhile I am using bleed daggers more and more just to pull aggro off of her. But the game really shines like this. Not sure how she will handle the later difficulty spikes, though.

Anyhow on my main play, one shotted Morgott and ghost of whats his face. Also broomed Volcano manor and, after using the spear, pretty much smoked Rydak or whatever his name is. Just have to figure where to place these great runes and finish exploring the capitol. I also cannot get that barbarian bitch and the duke guy to move to the throne room, no matter what I do. Broken quest I guess. And I am not going to lie, I am leaning heavily on MLGS shooty and fly cloud spam in a lot of these areas. I make no appologies for it, because I am bored of spending 5 minutes on single dogs who feint and chew me a new asshole due to bugged hitboxes if I guess wrong, along with similar bullshit. Its not the difficulty (usually) that makes me cheese, its the tedium

After playing with a modded camera would be tough to go back to stock settings.

Finally at Elden Beast. This fight is really annoying. Got it down to 20% or so after a few tries. I don’t like that it constantly just warps away. 80% of the fight is just chasing it.

Beat the elden beast. That fight sucked. I never changed my strat at all. Some fights I didn’t come close, some I did. It just seemed like RNG on if he was going to use attacks where he runs off or stays out to let me beat on him.

What’s up with the mausoleum in the snow? I went to duplicate the elden beast remembrance and it doesn’t give me options to duplicate anything. I noticed some mausoleums allowed some remembrances and other ones had more options. Does the snow one only duplicate a few…guessing ones I don’t have?

Pretty much, only the ones that had bells on the bottom can dupe all types of rememberances. You remember which ones had bells right? You're not going senile right?!? ah well there's the wiki, that's what I had to look at too.

You're right that one should work: Found this on the wiki, maybe why:

There is currently a glitch that causes Remembrances to not show up in the duplication menu. Going away and coming back at a later time seems to fix this issue, sometimes.

Well I beat the game. Did all the endings. I now only need Malenia or the Platinum trophy. Isn't happening tonight. I've got her phase 1 down easy, but I'm getting absolutely rocked in the second phase. Hopefully beat her tomorrow.
