I wonder how much Todd really worked on this. Given that they probably didn't add much, if any, content, the third party devs ( Virtuos - Wikipedia ) probably required minimal direction.Todd is just going to keep re-releasing their previous games over and over and never release a new product. And if Starfield is what a new product would look like then am definitely looking forward to Morrowind remastered.
Isn’t openmw essentially a remastered MW? I played through it last year and it worked pretty well - I will say getting it installed with all the mods was a dogshit experience thoughI wonder how much Todd really worked on this. If Oblivion Remastered is successful I have to imagine they'll make a Morrowind Remastered which is pretty exciting. The justification to modernize Morrowind will be way higher though, since the combat is so goofy. Oblivion's combat is antiquated but is kind of fun in a floaty way.
yeah we'll see how much they change in the Oblivion remaster. I'd say that unless they make significant changes to Morrowind such that it's a remake, it's not worth remastering it.Isn’t openmw essentially a remastered MW? After Starfield my hopes for Bethesda are very low, but in a dream world they basically rebuild the Creation Engine ontop of Unreal Engine, and work out a deal with Epic Games to decrease the licensing cost by making the new Creation Engine licensed open source with similar license agreements to the base Unreal Engine game.one my biggest "concerns" was Unreal 5. but yeah. its just unreal5 for the visual rendering, its still gamebryo underneath for the systems.
Todd is just a suit and spin man, all the talent left or was fired long long ago. If anything needed changed for Morrowind (such as the current gamebro engine not allowing flying), there is no one left that could deliver anything close to the classic experience.I wonder how much Todd really worked on this. Not to mention, literally started the whole paid DLC/cosmetic shitshow we have in gaming now with "Horse Armor".Hell, Oblivion was the start of the dumbing down decline and the Todd/Pete "promise an ocean, deliver a puddle" modus operandi of the company.
Oh looks like theres a stream/reveal tomorrow @ 11am EST
I actually started it up last fall. didnt make it very far. I think I over thought myself with the leveling system. I read up too much on how shit it was, and altered my char creation, and early gameplay around it.. and that killed any fun I was having.I dont have much faith in this actually dropping today but that would be sick. i've wanted to replay Oblivion for awhile now but i can never get past the controls being so janky
FTFY!let me know when they do Morrowind remake. that's thigh water mark!
ESO still has the most thematically amazing siege scenes in any game I've played. Rushing with a tight crew of cavalry then dropping like 20 trebs to take a city was beautiful. Also can’t wait forTuco to say you can’t save scum, but downloads weight reduction mods and all that other shit.
<3 still thought PvPing with PRX in those early ESO days was the most fun I had in RvR since DAoC.
