Server had a long way to go when I gave it a quick run a couple of months ago. I only spent a couple of hours testing, mostly in Butcherblock and gfay, but I saw quite a few problems in that time. For example, non-agro mobs moved too fast, which made wanderers extremely dangerous and playing a melee a pain in the ass. Also, Mobs were hitting for the wrong amount (e.g. level 1 mobs hit for 2, not 4), were the wrong level (level 3 decaying skeletons?), had the wrong faction (lvl 1 goblins in BB were KoS, weren't on EQMac), dropped the wrong loot (goblins dropped torches, backpacks), and spawns were incorrect (no decaying dwarf skeletons spawned in BB). The beta boards had low activity and testing was chaotic so that I wouldn't trust any piece to be really correct or close to classic.
That plus boxing allowed, with no clear way to police it, though 2-boxing max was the official policy and Velious open at release means I'll probably skip it, even though I feel desperate for something like this.
