Thornblade will most likely be the more relaxed, play the game to have fun server (Rizlona).

Mischief will be the very populated, RMT shitlords, MQNext users, and attention seeking Michael Jordans of EQ. That said it will also have a lot of non-retards who want to pull from a larger population for their guilds to work well.

If you're playing in a group, don't give a fuck about raiding, play Thornblade. If you want to raid the Dargonz and talk about how good at EQ you were in 2001 on your server 3rd best Wizard or whatever stupid shit people say, go to Mischief. There will be PLENTY of people like that there.

That is usually true but on some servers like Mangler vs Selos it isn't, so I think the guilds going to a server do set the tone to some extent.

So is Thornblade just going to be a second server with the same rules, or is it designed to merge into Mischief after the initial rush in order to mitigate the launch issues that happen with every TLP?

Merge plans are down the road (a year or so) but yes.

What is the lore reason behind the name Thornblade? All I can find on Allakhazam is some loser NPC in Shadowhaven. C'mon, we can do better than this...

Jacob Thornblade runs the Casino in Shadowhaven. I guess that's it. I thought Bristlebane himself had a sword called Thornblade, but I guess I was wrong.
