Hardline your connection if possible as it is definitely possible to make it seamless.
Also, i sort of remember there being an issue with multiplicity if you didnt classify the network as public on both pcs. That was like 5 years ago and my memory of why or if it is still relevant is cloudy.
Edit- actually had that backwards, it should not be set to public. I do not think this helps lag tho.

Strictly speaking you don't need any gear on these servers beyond high AC/ATK/HP/weapon damage/2 clickies for dispells/specific proc and like maybe 1 consumable item, plus no other classes than shamans, necros, enchanters, clerics, and warriors. In Luclin, add in ranger to kill stuff quicker instead of necro. Maybe a druid for patch heals / DS, or a mage bot with coth in some locations.
So while it *is* valuable, it's not needed. All of the high market value items on TLPs are wants, not needs.
(also outside of the focus which can't be used in-era, it's really not useful in-era, literally no one should be having mana issues, and by the time it becomes useful, there's other focuses with the same effect.)

I just use Parsec and it works well enough on a second display. I have a second bluetooth keyboard for hotkeys if I don't feel like switching window focus.

Yeah, trying to hardline my other desktop was the next course, since I have it connected to Wi-Fi currently. Just not sure I'll be able to run an ethernet cable all the way upstairs.

I am glad that this is the minority of EQ players thinking or the economy in the game would be terrible.
Most people enjoy gearing their toons up for group or solo content. Raiding is not relevant or important to most people. They'll show up to raids, but they sure aren't gearing their magician or their bard so that they can make a bigger impact on their raid. That's not typically why people gear their characters. So, while it is true that you don't need much gear for raiding, that doesn't really make it right as the auto response to anyone who talks about wanting item X or Y. Because you are assuming they want this item because it will help their guild kill raid content.

For EQ at least a direct connection is the only way sadly (with multiplicity). I was using wifi right next to the damn router with a solid signal and the mouse/kb would just nope the fuck out all the time.
There's a big chunk of raiders who actually just log on to kill batphones or DZ raids, so that doesn't match up.
I think raiding is relevant to everyone but only when they get a guaranteed chance at minimal effort for maximum rewards. That's why batphone guilds work so well.
There's a ton of people at 50 who do not need to group. Tons more even below 50, trying to get their first 50, and don't realize they don't need gear to play the game.

Lol wait, what? I don't remember hate mobs ever being a source of huge amounts of raw plat. Gems, sure, that was always good money, but raw plat directly from the mob? I did some Hate on my enchanter with another cleric on the 2017 progression server and I don't remember that. But maybe I just didn't notice? Or is this a new thing?
I remember soloing in Plane of Growth on my Bard in Velious and making fortunes upon fortunes from the very high gem drop rate there. A good Bard is pretty much the only class that can solo in PoGrowth because of the Protectors of the Growth that spawn every 20 minutes and just charge sow speed straight for anyone kos in the zone, plus every mob summoning. But with Selos + Singing Steel Breastplate heal, it was no problem. Good memories.

Its because it is looking at multiple mob loot tables on a random basis. So if you get lucky on a roll and it looks at 4 mob tables, you get 4x the plat you normally would. (Along with 4x chances at random loot). Thus i've gotten 40+ plat from a mob, along with a diamond, a black sapphire, and multiple pieces of planar armor all from a single kill. Its incredibly lucrative and over the past month i've made more than 250 kr from farming fear alone.
I don't even go to the GDKP raids because they are simply not worth the time lost in farming fear.

I haven't seen it mentioned, but you can also get most classes full planar armor for under 1KR since the price spike. Rando pieces are 200pp.
My rogue twink had full Woven Shadow, fbss, full jewelry, Planar weaps, HBC for under 5kpp (converted) a week ago. I even dumped 1k pp and got his poison skill over 30 pts!
I quit Mangler before VT in Luclin, and had peaced out of TLP since Vulak. This has been a lot of fun.
