Sure, Kunark has some solid gearing options, of course. Problem is, by the time you're flagged for 'em, you're likely pushing 60 and by then, the AA exp they provide is trash in comparison to the Velious and Luclin zones. And guess what? MORE FLAGS!

The issue is that you can't experience a "dungeon crawl" that affords you exp and the possibility of some occasional loot. By the time you can flag to use a zone, that zone has likely already worn out its effectiveness from either an EXP standpoint, or gearing standpoint.

I'm just extremely bitter that Kunark/Velious exp zones aren't really even EXP zones anymore and I can't get my nostalgia fix. They're "stopover" gearing spots with shitty loot (HS is REALLY shitty loot. Very few of the bosses can spawn fabled and the older stuff is almost universally shitty in comparison to even stuff like revamped CoM loot), unless you get some of the "revamped" drops.

Kill dragons and talk in guild chat, you guys are overthinking the basic reason why this server was started.

ReRolled absolutely flooded this server and are expecting 5 full time devs with custom content where loot and exp should be perfected. It's just not going to happen on a semi-custom server with 2 dudes working on it.

Go farm shit and talk to people.

Once again I disagree. I feel like we are playing different games. I had no issues whatsoever getting flags with the exception of being a little stalled out on ST because when we have our force on im the only person that needs the flag. I had plenty of dungeon crawls and got plenty of gear. I was in velious at 55 and still went back to kunark for xp/aa and gear. The AA in chardok is freaking great, it's good in velks, and I really think you overestimate luclin xp. Droga where it's at. The only stuff I'm even thinking of doing in luclin is farming for my VT key, maybe seru, a possible detour for ssra then it's a beeline for AHR and pop.

Half my shamans gear is kunark stuff that will be relevant till VT, my monk is a bit more mixed. I just don't know what to tell you. My experience was completely opposite to yours so far.

Droga has a nice XP rate, but despite that I spent a lot of time in Sebilis. I have not found a better cash spot than Sebilis crypt for plat farming. You have 7 named spawns down there and the item loot generally sells for anywhere between 200-400p a piece. While farming plat, my XP bars on my toons seemed to move just fine. Droga doesn't have that. You have the occasional nice item (its revamp version zone), but its just killing goblins non-stop and boring for slightly better XP. Keep in mind, the server Augment is a pretty big game changer that carries through PoP and it costs about 15k each. Between two toons, you are going to need that cash.

Plus, I have seen a couple independent farmers starting to sell Luclin loot in global /ooc. You need 20k to de-attune that stuff. Those classic dungeons like Seb, Chardok, and HS have value in items / gems for vendor cash. You need to see the bigger picture.

What are you using plat for? I haven't bought an augment for monk, based on the description it seems like it'd be a waste.

I did Droga today and with a bit of AA's I fucking crush through mobs there. I think with another 50-100 AA's, I'll be able to start tanking some of the Velious flag mobs for people (if I can't already).

IIRC, it is cast haste, dd nuke focus (works on weapon procs), and pet focus. Between my SK and Shaman, that is 30k plat right there and should be high priority for any caster class. Plus the buff bot adds up after a while. I also imagine the odd hard to get PoP piece will need a de-attune to trade between guild mates. That is another 20k per item.

It does not work on weapon procs. Or it shouldn't anyway. It says cast time must be > 1second.

Four shards down for VT including the one in the Grey so things are coming along on the Bard. Just need Talendor and Xeno for Velious flag on the rogue too.

Maybe I just leveled like a derp or wasn't able to focus on flagging when the core of people were doing it, but I'm 55 and still not even Kunark flagged. Hell, my BST was almost 58 by the time he got Kunark flagged. Having to reroll certainly didn't help matters, but I still feel like 54+ turns into a crawl if you can't use Velious/Kunark zones for EXP. Stuff like VP/NToV/VT/etc. requiring flags makes sense, but I don't see what the hell making OS, Karnor's, Chardok, etc. require a flag really accomplishes. 90% of the loot dropped in those zones is fucking tradeable anyways, even the stuff from the raid targets.

At 55 though what is it that's causing you to not finish your flag for Kunark? I had duo'd all flag mobs on my own by 52. What classes are you running?

I was going to ask in game, but I curious about how many AA's you have on Flatline right now; since you seemed to be able to tank AoW/KT/Vulak, etc. I want to know about what I should shoot for (gear notwithstanding).

Wanted to get some prime work leveling done but the server looks down. Sadness. I couldnt find a way to kunark yesterday, so i may try to just grind up to around 55 and hit these stupid planes bosses + phinny. Got Vox and Naggy last night
