Haste is capped by level now, so mithril 2h is always dogshit. Alloy bastard sword is basically the best 2h that is tradeable right now (does argent defender even drop here?).
Sword and board options are either sporali defenders blade or go camp him in upper guk to nab a ghoulbane (it's nodrop here). Sword and board will be better until level 30+ when the damage cap lifts, but it shouldn't be hard to keep both skills up, and you'll want your bash to be leveled for endgame so don't just ride a 2h for 50 levels.

I was never very versed on the timing for them - I want to say 8 or 12h - but I'm honestly not 100% sure. I just helped others that were timing them.

Whatever is cheap, so babs it is. I wouldn't buy a fbss, hell if I managed to loot one as a sk I'd sell it. Your dps sucks, hasted or not. Right now banded+ a babs or 1 hander+shield will get you leveled and into the planes. People debate this shit endlessly every night like it matters.

So my group got a hold of the Freeti camp in the main pick of Sol B. We had some shitters train us to try and get us to leave. A Cleric that was trying to train us was dumb enough to bind in the room (we were nice and said she probably shouldn't do that, but #shepersisted and said she knew what she was doing). She lost 3 levels before she gave up. We also deleveled an SK that kept training us (dude died and got a port and ran back like 10 times).
I've never seen so many butthurt nerds so angry over internet pixels before. These dudes were legit frothing mad at us.

Someone may have rooted the mobs on her bind point after she trained us. She may or may not have been caught in a death loop for over an hour by her own train.
We started charming and putting see invis on the imps outside the room to stop people from running in with Invis.
The SK kept pulling LDC's and Imps on us, so we'd just invis up and watch him feign and the train path back. He got the bright idea to start grabbing bats, and started dying due to the bat stun.
