I've heard it is short and the content is difficult. You basically have to do the quests to level up, cause grinding gives hardly any exp. Sounds like it is the same TOV/COV expansion model, on the Luclin moon.

Just finished the missions in the expansion. Oubliette of Light is the hardest, and a really fun mission.

Overall I'm enjoying the expansion, though I wish there was "post game content". You hit 120 around the time you finish progression if you do a bit of farming, overseer, hunter, collections etc, and then you can equip your gear with level 120 req and be overgeared for all the content, more or less.

Would love to see them add hard modes to missions, a chase item and a new harder zone

How nuts is this? I mean, is it like...

-Guys got pretty damn good gear and AA's to do that. Cool!

or like...

-Holy pickledicks this is unreal... this guy is a GOD to do this! Like... is this on the level with some of the ultra autists speedrunning Dragon Warrior in 45 minutes type of "wtf, how is that even humanly?" or just kinda "hey, that's a pretty decent kill" type thing? I just have no metric to gauge EQ stuff at the high end anymore and want to appreciate this in the right light (so to speak).

Also, can someone post some screenies of the stats of a lvl 85 heroic that's freshly bought? I'm thinking strongly of taking Tuco's advice and getting an 85 SK to solo with. Thanks in advance!

If you have a sub and log on miragul, all characters start as 85 heroics.

It's a pretty dead server with no transfers now, though.

When was Miragul released and what was their rules? I forgot, sorry Dick.

Not subbed 'yet' but wanted to see the kinda AA and gear that they say is included with a purchase on the in-game thing.

It was a TLP that started in the 85 era. I think it's caught up to live or almost. Only one raiding guild. No special rules other than the heroics and true box.

Pretty sure all AAs are autogranted until level 105 or something, I forget which expansion. Gear wise you can search for it, but lookint on miragul might be easier.

I remember being a teenager pulling my first ever EQ all nighter at like age 14. I was in BoT for like 15 hours straight, in the lightning wing. Got 6 AA, thought it was amazing.

Capping AAs is kind of a speed bump these days to finishing collection quests and hunter. Or doing the chase item if one is in the expansion.

That would be great. I never liked trying to do anymore more than a 2 box. Just wasn't fun. Two player characters, four mercs. Let's do this.

What Mercs do they have now? Warrior, Rogue, Wizard, Cleric? They should add more, for flavor.

I've thought about this a bit myself. A 5th merc type would really freshen things up. However, the tough part is figuring out what class could fill a role that's at-all different from those four. Bard and chanter are too complicated, melee, tank, and damage casters are redundant. Which leaves me with one possible option, shaman. A shaman merc (without a pet obviously) would be very interesting. Can both heal and DoT depending on the situation, but most importantly, drop slows. That'd be the main selling point, the slows. But also to see what it'd do and how it'd contribute. It'd be almost a "wild card" merc once the slow is dropped, depending on how good the AI is. And it'd fit very well in a group with, say, a cleric merc and a tank merc, while making groups way less reliant on slower classes. It wouldn't replace actual shamans either since a player shaman has splash heal spam, AAs, epic 2.0 etc that a shaman merc wouldn't.

I was gonna work tonight but ended up deciding to get on EQ instead, and...it's down? On the 1st of the year? Yikes

It's moderately nuts at 115, probably somewhere between the two, but closer to the first. At some point I tried to 3-box Zlandicar with 3 mercs and wasn't able to pull it off, despite having all raid gear from COV. It might have been doable if I'd gotten things "set up" in terms of discs, debuffs, etc, but I kept losing the fight before everything was properly set up. Might have been able to do it if I'd weaponshield-tanked it long enough to get everything done, but IDK and I doubt it. The necro in the video is probably maxed-out everything AND knows what to use and exactly when to use it.

What version of Zlandicar is that even? I mean I know it isn't the one I 2 boxed in dragon necropolis during POP with my war and Rynoa's cleric.
