allegedly $300m budget which is nuts but apparently they filmed at multiple F1 events including silverstone to get the crowds and real road conditions

i guess Apple TV+ doesn't give a fuck thats like 5 mins of selling iphones for them

Top 3 racing movies

Rush w/ Thor
Ford v Ferrari
?

Senna, Days of Thunder, Talledega Nights, Gran Turismo (yes its pretty good!), Grand Prix, Le Mans, not sure what else i'd put in the list. I haven't watched last years Ferrari, heard it kinda sucked

Am I the only one who doesnt find racing films appealing?

I'm just puzzled why so many were made in recent years with so many big names

Racing is just the setting, it's really a film about diversity

$300M? Does that number include the marketing budget or is that just production?

I'll watch it. I tend to like racing movies, but not all of them. Ferrari wasn't really a racing movie. It was a drama that happened to have a Ferrari or two present in it.
Rush was fucking awesome. Ford vs. Ferrari was also pretty damn good. I enjoyed Gran Turismo as well. I never saw Senna, but Days of Thunder & Talladega Nights are both nascar ones, and I could care less about those. That said, I like Tom Cruise, so I've seen Days of Thunder a couple of times over the years.
Another racing movie is Driven with Sylvester Stallone. When I was younger, I got a real kick out of the sequence where they took the F1 cars through the crowded streets.
Not realistic at all, but still enjoyable.

Senna is one the best documentaries I have seen and I have never watched a single F1 or Nascar race. Since it's a documentary, it isn't really comparable to other racing movies.

All these racing movies and not one mention of Death Race 2000? One of Sylvester Stallone’s best movies, wtf!

Talladega Nights is the perfect level of Will Ferrell stupidity. Bonafide classic.

Days of Thunder will always have that nostalgia kick though. Also they had a simulator at Canadas Wonderland where your seat moved with Days of Thunder in front of it and it was awesome to early teens me. Talladega Nights is one of the last great prior generation comedies though, Gary Cole as the deadbeat dad was perfect casting.

I watched this today, and it was very good. I had never heard Senna's story previously, so it was a great eye opener. He was a phenomenal driver.

I went and saw A the new Beetlejuice movie with my dad this afternoon. They had a trailer for this. Alright, I'm in. Lots of good Formula 1 movies out there. Or hell, just racing in general.

Good lord how many filters are on Pitt's face in this movie!

Still looks good, semi-semblance of a script with the standard tired old man leading the young buck to victory, high speed car race, explosions, and if they throw in the blonde's bOObs for a couple scenes we have a winner
