Ange was cool today, got bit complex with plots and paramail power, wonder if its related to dragons's color a la ADnD or something similar to that.

It is. Magic ring transfers Power of Feels to mecha. Different feels == different color == different powers. Rage is red, scared/protective is blue.

Now i am confused as to who is in charge - are the Norma letting the humans think they are in charge of the Norma while secretly pulling the strings? Is there going to be a plot twist involved where this is all a virtual world created by Embryo?!

Matrix-like plot, not an actual matrix with at least 3 factions is my guess. I don't think all the dragons are Norma or all the Norma can be dragons. But I'd bet the humans are basically cattle and everyone else is gaming the system.
