Shokugeki no Soma is hands down my favourite anime of all time. The crazy orgasm stuff soon tapers off a bit and is limited to one small scene every 2-3 episodes or so, I think the author only slips it in because he's a porn artist.

I watched Kino's Journey because of recommendations here. Great show. Volcano episode was an unexpected stab to the feels.

Okay, I finally went through my backlog before the next season. Damn, I really missed out on Houseki no Kuni. The first episode was really jarring and off-putting. Especially since it's mostly 3DCG, the story was slow to get going and the MC is an annoying brat. But starting with episode 2/3 this starts to become "Cliffhanger - The Anime". And after things went downhill and depression kicked in I really missed that first personality.

Did anyone else watch Anime-Gataris? I was just plugging along with it for something to watch, but I fell off halfway through. Got around to finishing and holy WTF at the last half of that. Somewhere along the way morphs from a slice-of-lifey thing to some meta insanity. Not my favorite of the season, but it certainly turned into a spectacle at the end.
