But so many scifi/fantasy writers make that intrinsic quality something that is unique to humans. If our adaptability is due to evolution and the stronger needing to survive for the continuation of the species, why wouldn't an alien race have similar qualities?Well every species is unique in their own way. Humans on the species level are very adaptable by virtue of the fact that we are descended from humans that were highly adaptable (because the ones who weren't died out). It has been done to death because it's an intrinsic part of human identity.
I think the French analogy is solid, but they've really done surprisingly little with the Volm this season. For the build-up they had from last season's cliffhanger, they've mostly existed in the background. Even Cochise has only been in a handful of scenes (which I'm guessing has to do with cost as they went with CGI aliens rather than humans wearing prosthetics). We only just got a little information on the Volm last week when Cochise discussed his reasoning for fighting (and even that was mostly related to him personally), but the details have been really scant. That, and the aforementioned time jump, make Tom's dedication to them look nothing other than incredibly foolish. As for Tom's blindness, the whole show has tried to use the "Revolutionary War" analogy to its premise, so the Volm in Tom's eyes probably equal the French. Granted the French were more interested in putting the hurt on England than actually helping the fledgling USA, but it still worked out for us. I'm guessing the Volm twist will end up being that the humans in power decide that some random dude with no understanding of alien tech (the professor in the basement) is right and it's an evil machine, so they sabotage it/whatever, then the Volm go "wtf...it was a giant shield generator so Ashani can't even enter Earth's atmosphere anymore! That's why it needed so much power! Fuck ya'll, we're outta here!". Then all the humans feel like assholes, except Tom because he's always correct ;P
Seems to me it is more like well without them we are pretty much done so what the hell and even if they do turn around and screw us after the other guys are gone we are still in the same situation anywaysThat, and the aforementioned time jump, make Tom's dedication to them look nothing other than incredibly foolish.
haha i was thinking the same thing during that, ridiculous ;DYep another week of Pope does crazy shit but hey that's just Pope haha. We also had another medical emergency character of the week again. On another note I kept imagining the Benny Hill song as they kept swapping weapons throughout the episode as well.
He had eyeworm.and pope is driving me crazy, this motherfucker should have been dead many many times from all the treasonous shit he keeps pulling. organizing a work stoppage on military vehicles during wartime? and he didnt get fucking capped over it?
Is there a stream or torrent of this mate?im also still pretty sure pope gangraped that blonde chick. you as a hot bimbo dont stay a prisoner of a mob of outlaws very long before they run a train you.
it was never shown, but in season 1 Pope had kept her hostage for some time with his "berserkers". this was before he joined up with mason and crew. they rescued the blonde and killed half his men. and since then she acts towards pope like she fucking hates him. and im assuming that she hates pope because he and his crew had a good ole time on her coochiemuffin. Is there a stream or torrent of this mate?
