Elite daily's is nice and they aren't a cake walk either. Working my way through elite event at the moment, so far so good. Probably will burn 1 more mith for shits and call it a night. Good to see they put some challenge in.

Rinoa dungeon's pretty boring. Bring your C team and auto battle / afk.

Haven't beaten it yet, 3 sections left and waiting for stamina. The only roadblocks are the two bosses I've seen thus far, but they're more like speedbumps

Elite version is supposed to be pretty challenging. I just got Rinoa and have been farming Flans though. I need to Master the last fight and then I'll start grinding some of the elites.

Elite dailies are annoying so far @48-50. They're challenging but totally doable. My only gripe is the random 2k AE. It's overpowered and just makes me restart the round. I only mention that because I'm the sucker who never ever restarted rounds for loot.

Really glad there's a new tier though. Finally start working realistically on 3-4* spells. Think I only have Shiva, curaga and blizaga from the regular elite grind.

Finished the Celes event and got the Greater Holy Orb for 200K Memory Crystals. Consensus was to stop at 100K with the accessory but I decided to be a completionist about it. Now I'm going to start working on Rinoa Elites.

I've always slacked on the honing of abilities and for the first time that is hurting me. Made it to the last level of the Elite Rinoa event, waiting on stam to give it a try. The iguna's are abit annoying but I had Cecil PAL with Sential and it helps a lot when they aren't AE'ing. My first priority is going to be hone Quake, that is such a good clear spell especially when you have trash that can insta kill you.

I switch it up as needed but running DK Cecil, Seph, Rinoa, Aerith, and Cloud (I use PAL Cecil for most bosses fights, depending I might even leave him in the back row just to soak up damage with Sent).

Debating making a push for the Major Holy Orb or just do the elite daily's since I an use about everything still (I refuse to do EXP though outside once for bonus). Maybe next Sunday i'll run a 4/5 core group to start leveling them.

Reading reddit, for most of us the last few levels of Rinoa event on elite isn't worth even trying. Dude out there with full 5* relics for every character and WAY more honed abilities than most people is struggling. Unless you plan on blowing lots of Mythril, it may not be worth the time.

PSA- I beat the iguana things on elite, but don't bother trying it yourself : FFRecordKeeper

DETAILS- I use seph, wakka, cloud, aeris, rydia. all 50 I have seph, wakka, cloud and rydias five star relics. Aeris has a 5 star staff but its not her character specific. My armor is Genji helm, genji armor, and 2 of the 5 star robes for aeris and rydia. wakka uses a 4 star ++ helm.

WHAT YOUR UP AGAINST- Trash- about 3k hp, my autos hit for about 1k against them on average, and they hit for about 1k themselves with some abilities doing 2k- they also have nasty status attacks. Even abusing save load its nearly impossible to beat them without taking damage.

iguanas have about 50k hp. They have a 50/50 chance about of auto attacking for 1200 at least on any of my guys, or using the fire breath which has the petrification chance and does about 500 damage to everyone. The petrification chance was about 20% per hit per character, meaning the odds are that one guy was gonna get stoned each time.

Seifer- supposedly 140k hp or something like that. his auto attack double hits for about 1400 and uses fira for about 700 to the whole team. 3500 damage to your team from fira, 1400 from auto attack, which is an average of something 2500 damage per turn that you will have to heal through for a long time.

I repeated floor one, using no abilities to save up all my soul breaks on all my guys cept aeris. I ended up with about half health when i started iguanas but with all my abilities available.- Braver hits default for 8k, wakkas status reels hits for 5500, sephs hells gate hits for about 6k and rydias eidolon 2 hits for 6k. After wakka's SB armor breaks one, then they take apx 20% more damage.

Unless you don't use a healer, that should be nearly max damage possible per turn, and 2 full rotations can kill one. after using the final soul break for each guy, the last dude probably only takes another round to kill.
Having defeated the iguanasaur things, I started the fight with seifer and there is absolutely no way that my team, and I expect any team, could have enough healing to survive long enough with fira's damage output.
So if you don't have all 5 star relics on all guys, don't bother trying. If you do, I still wouldn't bother trying. You aren't gonna kill these guys with retaliate or quake.

Haven't tried him yet but few thoughts....A) damage mitigation with Sential in back row is amazing, I had hoped that may be the case so I spent some mithril when it was Cecil's release to get the shield. B) If Fire damage is massive then is reflect summon an option? I haven't honed it but have enough to have it up for a long duration. Maybe I bring Rydia with that.

Yeah it looks like the best rewards come from finishing the event on Classic for Rinoa, the Orb and the Mythril. Then you do the first stage of Elite for another Mythril. After that you can call it quits unless you want the challenge or lack other things to do.

Thinking some sort of retaliate team but I need millions of lesser power orbs to hone them, any idea where they drop the most?

Well I just killed Sieffer, holy fuck ton hp on elite. I had 2 people dead, 2 people at < 100 hp and one at probably 300. Auto attack from healer for 86 damage killed him haha. No way I can do the final battle but at least I did 2 boss battles.

Seph, DK Cecil, Pal Cecil, Aerith (double heals+Soul Group heal), and Rinao.

I used a mithril for the last of the 3 boss fights in a row since its impossible to even fucking come close to doing all of them without due to such high hp. 3rd fight is cake minus the fact she about 1 shots anyone she hits with magic but you can heal all her damage before she hits again. I lost Cecil Pal is all the last fight by like 1 hp when I was trying to conserve a heal other then that cake, she has such low def. the 2nd to last fight is fucking insane though....I'm going to try tomorrow again maybe to try and master to see if the ice ring is good but I don't think it will work unless reflect works. I'll try it, honestly don't waste your time on the last round of elite unless you are going to spend a mithril to finish it (and have a really good strat and gear). I was reading JP version was a lot easier so I wouldn't be surprised to see it get nerfed.

Finished up with:

10 level 50's (Dk. Cecil, Pal. Cecil, Kain, Rydia, Celes, Terra, Aerith, Cloud, Sephiroth, Wakka)
7 level 40's (Tyro, White Mage, Josef, Cyan, Tifa, Rinoa, Titus)
2 in the 30's (Summoner - 37, Black Mage - 30)
And the rest under lvl 20.

Glad to not run Flans anymore though.

Fuck! I can honestly say that today's daily on Heroic is no joke. Everything has AOE attacks that will hit you for 1100 points or so. I got Mastery on it but took nearly half an hour of saving and loading.

Yeah, it's a giant pain in the ass. Luckily you can just run the first two battles for orbs and not worry about mastery after the first time through. I'm convinced the 2nd one drops black orbs more often, but reddit seems to think they're all the same.

The RNG is so streaky that while reddit is probably right, its no reason to break a streak. I had a Hard daily a couple weeks ago where I was getting 2 silver chests from the first round each time.
