Eiko's and Y'shtola's are the two best healer BSBs. Eiko's comes next week but we won't see Y'shtola's until Decemberish. Aerith's is very serviceable though and I would have loved to pull it. She tends to get lousy group heals but her BSB is solid.

Yuna gets a great SSB in a few weeks too.

I just tested it. Keep in mind there are a LOT of variables but I went with a very minimal proof of concept test. I went after 160 Ultima Weapon from the 5 Dooms. I did zero debuffs and zero attack buffs.

Test 1: OSB x2 was 32k damage

Test 2: Climhazzard followed by OSB was 37k damage. Climhazzard did 7k and the OSB did 30k.

Continuing on this, scream + full break + Zidanes bsb , clouds OSB hit for 49k.

I just tested it again myself with a more realistic setup. Shout + Full Break + Armor Break on Ultima Weapon.

Test 1: OSB x2 was 81k damage.

Test 2: Climhazzard + OSB was 88k. 2,400 x 7 from Climhazzard + 71k from the OSB.

Not at all. OSBs are pure damage in a single strike. So a lot of SSBs and BSBs will do a lot more over the course of a fight. They're great for bursting a boss down but they offer zero in terms of utility. I actually think Aerith's BSB was the better item on the banner with Cloud's OSB being a close #2.

I'm just having fun with mine since it's the first time I've gotten a new tier SB on the first banner it was offered. And with the 5 Dooms event still going on it's easy to run some mathcraft testing for a single stamina to figure out the optimal rotations.

With that being said if you're going to chase an OSB go for the Tidus one in a month. It's actually one of the strongest due to a weird mistake. OSBs get an elemental bonus in their own realm. Tidus's gets that bonus in all realms. It's also a great chase banner with Yuna's, excellent, SSB, Paine's sword with haste, and Auron's Shimmering Blade. I plan to go hard on that banner myself.

Hes right. Clouds OSB sounds like a ton of damage, but there are a lot of great relics that can do near as much and with G5 now in game it is easy to get a serviceable set of them. I just came back to the game not too long ago and I can burn down most 160 bosses pretty quick with some of my recent pulls. That is usually without much realm synergy too.

I pulled Aerith's BSB and thought it was the booby prize...until I used it. Outside of Tyro's BSB in Nightmare dungeons I think hers is the only one I'll use on a semi-regular basis.

Been having some fun with the new abilities on the lesser fights. Stitch in Time with Yuffie was pretty decent Gust was dealing ~5k AE damage ignoring armor at cap (390) which is pretty good for her, and we already knew northern cross and meltdown rape pretty hard. I'm tempted to start unlocking mug blood lust on more of the thieves.

In other news Tyro Select 2 is coming which has both shout and SG in the pool. Pretty slick since I have 0 relics in that banner, but more likely i'll be pulling on the dungeon update banner for a shot at FF3 and FFT relics that i really need, especially since rumor is that it'll be 25 mythril.

At first I thought you meant platinum sword is in the pool of items you can select from, but I see this banner isn't even as good as the first one, just a bunch of shared soul breaks. Debating on pulling on it for the sword, but what are the chances and I've dumped a lot of mithril into chasing it already. Everything else would be decent for me at least, besides sg, which I already have.

I have a decent amount of the relics in the pool for Tyro 2, and the choice relics aren't anything super impressive. The bracer with +fire passive equip bonus would be really nice since I have no fire bonus gear, but don't think it's worth 50 mythril just for that.

It's a good banner if you don't already have most of the key pieces though.

I chased the sword, but got a SG and Squalls burst. Time to level Tyro!

Banner banner 1 was great for the choice relics but the random relics were a bit weaker and didn't have G5.

Banner 2 is much better for the random stuff but the choice stuff is situational at best.

I went ahead and pulled because I wanted the X bracer to go along with my Fire Lash (both give fire bonuses). I pulled the Katana BSB for Gilgamesh and Terra's BSB so no complaints from me.

I keep reading about how important mage bsb's are in future content where physical attacks are kind of phased out due to extreme defense levels on difficulty 200+ encounters, so I decided to do a pull on the Tyro2 banner in hopes of Terra's BSB. Well, as luck would have it, I went 3/11, but two were dupes. I got a dupe sentinel grimoire (not worth upgrading to 6*), a dupe physician's staff (nice for white mage nukers, which I use sometimes), and Terra's BSB rod. Definitely super glad I pulled the specific item I was hoping for in one round. I took the red armlet as the free pick for it's +20% fire damage bonus on a very flexible armor piece (adds atk, mag, and mnd).

I decided I'm going to once again skip the cid mission of the current event (SIGH!) but I'm still in hoarder mode for future, more powerful banners, and I'm still playing catchup trying to level units. Cloud and Sephiroth are my only two leveled FF7 guys, and I only have one relic in realm. Maybe I could still beat it, but I'd definitely have to blow a ton of growth eggs to level a FF7 team, and with lvl 99 just now becoming a thing, my limited growth egg supply has better uses. Vaan got my first MC3, since he's still MVP of my entire roster, and now with mug bloodlust, he's a debuffing machine.

So the new ultimate++ boss was a satisfying fight. As usual, when a boss has holy weakness, they really get trucked with the proper setup. I double healered it (probably not needed, but I wanted to be safe). I thought maybe I was going to have to use a pure mage team because of the core closing thing, but turns out a mostly physical setup works fine.

Next event I'm going to be doing at least one pull on banner1 (Eiko's BSB would be nice in the short term, and Beatrix BSB with the imperil holy is $$$), so hopefully I'll be able to get back to doing cid missions. Ultimately though, I'm still saving most of my mithril supply for Onion Knight and Y'shtola BSB's down the road.

Used my mc3 on cloud because ragnarok.

Also, it was pretty neat hitting the 140 difficulty ultimate fight, weak to wind, for 99,999 damage.

The Zombie Dragon and Ultima Weapon gave me challenges for the first time in awhile. I haven't done the CM yet. My VII damage synergy is very good but I don't have haste or a real group heal so I'm not sure I'll be able to pull it off. Going to try though.

Yeah, zombie dragon was no chump, took me a couple of tries with my a-team. Mainly just because I was burning it down too fast, needed to hold off to heal up for pandora's box.

I use Tyro as my healer most of the time with r5 curaga (dont even have curaja crafted). He seems to do just fine unless SG and either shellga protectga wear off at the same time. I sometimes bring gilgamesh ssb for the regen to help, but usually just try to squeeze in a tailwind if I need it. I pretty much always bring a pure damage weakness hitting roaming warrior.

I wish I had growth eggs left. I cant level anyone close to 99, so I broke Tyro and will just slowly grind it out. I still need to get Ovelia or Vanille to 75+ in case Tyro cant cut it anymore. I dont have any lvl 80 mages or healers :/
