I beat the ultimate with cid mission. The first two bosses,
Taharka and
Kraken weren't too terrible with my A team, though Kraken really hurt even with lots of stacking breaks.
For Meltgemini CM, I went with 2 dps and 2.5 healers. I only have two FF9 relics, but thankfully they were both excellent relics for this CM (Garnet's SSB and Beatrix BSB). Hope BSB as a roaming warrior is what I based this seutup around (Vivi BSB works too, but Hope BSB is better in phase 1 if you have Beatrix imperil holy). Kuja + Memento Mori + Devotion + Hope BSB + holy weakness = damages.
Setup:
Beatrix -- Saint's Cross, Magic Lure -- Imperil Holy BSB
Kuja -- Ruinga, Memento Mori -- no SB
Garnet -- Curaga, Ifrit -- Haste/Regen/Resist BSB
Quina -- Magic Breakdown, Full Break -- Shared Medica BSB
Eiko -- Curaja, Shellga -- Default SB
Roaming: Hope BSB

Basically I tried to focus fire down one of the clowns in phase 1 to turn off their dualcast, while Beatrix used magic lure to both help tank and fill her sb gauge faster. Once Beatrix's gauge was near full I had Kuja pop the Hope RW and Memento Mori, then went to town with the burst commands. When the last clown was almost dead, I refreshed all buffs, and had Kuja finish him off with a refresh of Hope's BSB.
Phase 2 was all about the burst damage. His first turn is always a non-damaging poison debuff, and his first turn after 50% is also a non-damaging sap debuff. The goal is to push him to the 50% threshold before his third turn, so you can have breathing room to heal from his nukes while he wastes a turn using sap, then finish him quickly before the aoe damage becomes overwhelming. Kuja was dealing around 32k damage per round with the burst command, and Beatrix chipped in with some holy sword attacks. The rest of the team just chain casted healing (Quina had all mind gear + shared medica). I had Garnet do a token rank 1 ifrit nuke just for the medal requirement, because I didn't feel like repeating the fight.
My growth egg supply cries from constant CM abuse.
