Not sure what's going on with Sephrioth and JENOVA there, i'm worried it's gonna suck.

Yeah no complaints about that. Nicely worked in modern wokeness talking about gender, they are probably going to imply that Corneo is into ladyboys when in the original it came off as him being tricked.

Seeing the party confront Sephrioth/Jenova in a Reactor/Hojo's lab is weird. I assumed Jenova was going to be the last boss on the higway but of it isn't... what'sthe last boss going to be? They said it's not Motorball.

Jesus fuck. That English dialogue and voice acting is horrendous to a point of being cringe-fueled uncomfortable. It makes me think of Kingdom Hearts. I don't think I could possibly stomach playing the dubbed version.

I think everyone sounds fine except Barret. Red was awesome.

the two other dubbed languages are french and german, i don't have an ear for them, what do you guys think that do?

German is usually pretty good, even by SE standards(they still do occasionally get a dud though, but rare) Barret sounds a bit off but all the others sound good.

French no clue *shrug*

I really liked Barret saying “SUCK ON DIS” but other than that those English dubs are terrible. I thought they’d put in more effort for this cash cow.

My God that English trailer is cringe. The voice acting is highly mute-able. I never play games in Japanese but I might break that trend for this.

The French sounds hawt, especially the female voices.

He cuts the parties access to him so doubt there will be a fight. We know he was there you follow a trail of carnage and blood in the original. My guess is we see more of what happened instead of just the aftermath.

If done right can be awesome if done poorly though the impact he has will fall away.
Super eyepatch wolf has a FFVII vid out there that explains in better detail.

Yeah I saw that video, I'm worried about that impact being lost if you have constant Sephrioth flashbacks and encounters in Midgar.

Fighting Shinra is enough antagonist for Midgar.
