Lmao can’t believe the FF7 remake thread became the place for nerds to talk about how much 16yr old puss they crushed back in 1997.

If you have a physical copy for PS4, you might not need to do the first step. It's been a while since I upgraded mine and I'm going from memory.
Just where do you live bro?I never got this on the PS4 as I never play on it anymore. But 85 dorrah for the game on PC here in europe seems a bit steep...
Yeah, when it comes to cross-gen Series S|X has Smart Delivery and PS5 has Full Retard Delivery. It's a by-product of Sony charging for upgrades, so there has to be an addon you need to search for and buy (whether it's $0 or $10) for every game that's cross-gen. MS doesn't allow anyone to charge for upgrades period (at least I can't think of a single example) so their cross-gen system can actually be 'smart'.Just be sure you choose PS5 in "Select Game Version" on the home screen before you play it. Sometimes I think it resets for some reason. Before I realized this, I accidentally played a couple games in their PS4 forms rather than their PS5 upgrades, because I thought it just automatically upgraded them.
Now I prefer to just get the PS5 versions of things and not mess around with it.

You shouldn't have to choose a version when you play though, that'd mean you're wasting double(ish) the space by having both versions installed at the same time. Just make sure you only ever install the PS5 versions to begin with.
At least Sony's system-naming makes sense, unlike Microsoft and their One / Series / X / S gobbledygook.
Microsoft didn’t want the Xbox 2 to compete against the PlayStation 3 so they went with Xbox 360 and have been using random names since.
i have to beat the game in two weeks or the damn orchestra is gonna spoil it for me, it's not like there is even much combat anywayplay the game on the hardest difficulty if you are bored, combat is VERY different. although i'm not sure if you can start off with the hardest on the first play through
