We saw Gold Saucer stuff in previous trailers before this one even. Honestly sure seems like everything is going to be in, although they made it sound like the order in which some places are visited is different.
That quick shot of cid makes it look like things are way out of order.
Pretty sure that's the gelnika(sp?) plane behind him, which means they are in junon at the airport.
So he's either introduced way earlier in this game, or they're looking for the huge materia, which is late disc 2....

Pretty sure that's just the Tiny Bronco, which is the normal vehicle you get upon first meeting him in the OG, as well.

Gelnika...that the Shinra plane? Maybe they just moved it. Rocket Town might have an airport. It might also be the Tiny Bronco.
IDK, having late disc 2 stuff would be a bad sign (meaning they're rushing through or skipping huge amounts of stuff) but having Cid show up way earlier is also a bad sign in terms of things being too different.
IIRC they did say Wutai wouldn't be until Part 3, so the whole thing with Godo and the tower isn't gonna be in this. I think the intention is for Wutai to be much bigger and more involved in the story, considering it's supposed to be a nation on par with Shinra (or not far below it). Wutai is also the Japan allegory in the game versus Shinra being the US allegory. So Wutai lost the war but they're still supposed to be really powerful and advanced. In the original game it's just this one little town, so in Part 3 I expect it to be some sort of sprawling metropolis. They'll probably need new content to fill out Part 3, especially if Part 2 goes to the end of Disc 1 and they only have like 35% of the game left for the last part.

Yeah I wouldn't expect things to diverge too greatly until the likely branch point of Aeris (not) dying. Part 3 is gonna be the make or break part of the series.
