First thing, preorder the new xpac. You get an earring that gives bonus xp gains until 80
Potd is unlocked during ARR. south shroud? It’s that wood log fort place. There is a quest to unlock potd. Heaven on high is unlocked in ruby sea at the pirate base next to the big jenga looking tower.
They’re basically roguelite dungeons with different floors. Your level starts at 1 and you level up inside. Your progress is saved vs who is in your party. You get 2 save files. I don’t like them much, so you can find more guides on them online or others here
MSQ roulette gives you more than half a level if you get praetorium, so make sure to run that daily. Leveling roulette should be something you do also - with a tank the queue times should be quick
Also don’t forget beast tribe quests. They add up if you run those xp wise.
Thanks, yeah I'll do the dailies for sure. Are tanks the most in demand?
What's putting me off PotD is having to get to floor 50 to do HoH.
I have no concept of how much exp PotD 1-50 is going to give a lv60 class or how long it will take or if I need a static group or it can be done with a pug.
If it's suboptimal but fresh content, I'll take it over grinding something.
How long does it take though? Is it 50 runs with 50 groups or do you do 10 floors at a time or something?Tanks are pretty in demand, yeah. PotD won't give much exp at all to a 60, but you can easily pug to 50. Most people pug 51-60 PotD to level their sub 50/sub 60 characters.
Much shorter than that. You queue up for 1-10, 11-20, etc and each individual floor is 3-6 rooms with scattered enemies and traps, kill enough to advance. Originally it stopped at 50, then they added to 100 and then achieves and loot for doing all the way up to 200.How long does it take though? Is it 50 runs with 50 groups or do you do 10 floors at a time or something?

Yep. You alternate the Ala Migho area with the Doma area in the far east which is much better. So far Stormblood MSQ is complete butt about 70 quests into it and it was already dragging just getting into Stormblood.
Tons of menial quests beholden to a level 1 scrub with no experience rather than a hero with practically no dungeons/trials/raids so far to break up the tedium for a bunch of whiny ass, ungrateful citizenry.
Then they make it so unlocking flying doesn't flow nicely with your progress and actually have to go play hide and seek.
Water zones >_>.
I am at this point rooting for the imperials to genocide this entire part of the world and all ala mighans.
At this pace though I'm probably going to end up in Shadowbringers well before TBC at least!
