Suspect they will implement 50% more housing by adding one more area each city and make it only one house max per account.


2 star crafting in 4.1 requires penta melding huge amounts of Craftsman Command IV and VI materia. Go and buy these out on your Market Boards and sell them into prime time casual period on Sunday and make a killing

Raziqsand is going to go nuts too (huge numbers of Gold Ingots req for Shirogane House that can be used in all wards). Probably too late to pick these up on most servers though.

You can buy Raziqsand for GC seals at least. Noob me didn't know what it was used for and sold them for 10k per...probably worth more.

I have been able to figure out the cheapest stuff to make /w the most profit. For w/e reason, hanging planters are going for 100k. I've made a killing selling those.

Sounds like FF is still doing fairly well. Franchise is near and dear to my heart. I really hope it remains a healthy game. Wish I had time to give it a chance but I barely have time for EQ right now. Holidays can't come soon enough.

I've looked around for crafting alternatives to Maker's Mark, and the only one I've seen that has a "possibility" of working relies on Initial Prep for +3 IQ stack, then 2x 90% rapid synth IIs, 80% hasty touches, and one or two 80% patient touches. Any decent crafter should tell you to fuck right off with that RNG but I have seen some theory crafting for future rotation enhancements under Maker's Mark.

1) Specialists can use Whistle while you Work under Maker's Mark (36 CP) and use Satisfaction at stacks 9/6/3 for +15 CP (45 total).
2) At whistle stack 2 or 1 use Nymeia's Wheel for +18 CP to get +30 durability back (basically your 3x Piece by Pieces).
3) In the future under 3-star and 4-star our stacks will be even higher than 64. This will present the opportunity to use whistles twice and utilize the excess CP regen on 3 quality touches, which are then regened by a second nymeia's wheel.

Everytime I come back to this game, the hardest part is deciphering currencies for gear and where they come from. What's BiS currently? Omega Savage gear still or upgraded Creation stuff?

Omega savage mixed with upgraded weekly capped tombstone gear. You can get the upgrade item to fully upgrade the tombstone gear from either omega savage or one weekly from the 24-man raid completion.

Centurio seals also get the armor upgrade items for TOMEstone gear. 500 for Mythic log, 6x logs for Twine or 4x for the other.

Ok, for clarity: Allagan Tomestones of Creation are earned from expert dungeons, roulettes, omega regular, omega savage, trials, the new raid, and are capped at 450 per week.

In addition to two chests (from a clean weekly run), the Omega Savages drop book tokens (4x O1S for belt and accessories, 6x O2S for hands, legs, head, 8x O3S for body and legs), and they can also drop an upgrade item: wire and glaze. These last two let you upgrade i330 creation gear to i340. These last two can be purchased with Rabanastre coins or mythic logs.

It is worth working out the optimal path for your gear so that you buy 330 gear in the right order holding off on the ones where you want the dropped/token i340. For melee and physical ranged, that definitely starts with buying the weapon first but from that point it depends upon which i340 gear had the better stat distribution.

The math around stat priority doesn't yield a direct stat priority order, but the simplest mental model is: DH is the strongest for almost every DPS save monk, black mage, and bard, followed Crit. This changes when DH+Crit>3500 to favour Crit. I have tried DET vs SkS/SpS and it generally doesn't change dummy parse results but definitely changes playstyle at various points as SkS/SpS changes clipping/refresh timings.

BLM prioritise SpS, bards just prioritise Crit, and so do monks. Tanks generally favour determination or tenacity (I use DET) on gear but socket DH left and STR right. Healers have no clear model as many will socket for DPS. (I stopped gearing mine so *¯\_(ツ)_/¯*) When doing O3/4S, you will want to socket right side VIT until your gear is above 35k HP

I might have taken a screenshot from there when I went to go smell the flowers.

Shinryu Ex, on the other hand, is a busy fight that requires you to pay attention in phase 1. After that it's all coordination on where things and people go. You do get to climb on and smack the boss directly in the latter parts of the fight, though (...while he's casting the hard enrage)!

I'm actually finding it enjoyable to finish leveling my tanks from 50-60 with squadrons. Experience is only like 2/3 of a POTD run but it helps level the squad and raise their masteries. I haven't seen any info on it but if they give materia V at level 60 it will be a lucrative source of money and overmelds

If it's 2/3 of a POTD run then it's 1/2 or less then a regular dungeon run. Why wouldn't you just queue for normal dungeons as a tank?

Because unlike real dungeons, you can make sure all the DPS focus fire one NPC ;p

Offensive 5 stance is +60% damage for your squad members. Also there's a glitch right now where each time you hit Engage to direct your team to focus fire it resets their cooldowns. So when running double archer they keep getting Barrage reset for every enemy and can spam it on the bosses.

Stone Vigil with your squad goes far faster than a DF ever could.

This part is truth. Things seemed to melt, to say nothing of the squad having 2-3x your (sync'd) hp on top of that. ;p

Haven't gotten any time to play since downing Neo, still don't have time to play but I'm gonna patch to just log in and reset the clock on my house while I unsub for most of November.

Missing the boat on the good players clearing Shin Ex is gonna suck, though.

I feel like Unending coil is just going to be an impossible ilvl check for a few weeks until they tweak it. I know that people get mad when content is nerfed, but it's pretty stupid to release content that's not possible without a ridiculous ilvl.
