I got an email with both a PC invite and PS3 invite. If i use one, can i give away the other? That said, i was in the previous beta as well. Did they automatically re-invite the last phase?
No, you have to link your PSN account (permanently) to your S-E account which requires using both keys to play the PS3 version.

Holy fucking shit cutscenes ! This can be the greatest game in the history of games, no one is gonna fucking play it if you start with 30 mins of unskipable cutscenes. They finally end and you get to the city, and then guess what, for every quest, another fucking cutscene that you have to click 10 times to get through all the dialogue and move on.

I logged in the game 1h ago and I still haven't done shit beside gathering quests and watching little furries tell me stories.

I will power on because I really want to like this game (the job system sounds awesome) but they really need to cut down on that shit. Do I really need click for every 3 lines of text ? No one is playing at 800x600 anymore, enlarge the fucking windows.

edit : EU keyRBWE JKVZ 63K7 6J2K E843that you can use to get on the Marlboro server (just gotta create an UK account).

I have gotten stuck at the end of a few cutscenes, only to have to restart the game to clear it. I do agree the running around fetch quests in the beginning are going to hurt this game.

Started with the PS3 version, but it seems a hell of a lot more complex than, say, DCUO, which played just as well on PS3 as it did on PC. Thinking I'm going to have to switch versions, but a friend is telling me the PC download is at something like 0.14 MB/s for him. Is everyone getting speeds that slow? The PS3 version downloaded for me at 1.5-2.0 MB/s for me, and I thought *that* was slow.

Also, I'm on Malboro as Pirun Nyrkki. Started as a lancer because I liked the armor but I don't remember a damn thing about the game from when I played the beta for the original release.

They're playing at 1280x720 on the PS3 though. I haven't seen the PC version in years, but I'd be surprised if S-E went out of their way to make two separate UIs. I'm expecting to see a hotkey bar designed for 1-0 instead of gamepad triggers, and that's about it for differences.

Yea it's a bit much. That and all the running/questing you do early on. Seems like I could go to 3 different areas to quest at level 5. I'm just going to stick with where the class quest send me...

Sounds like my experience too. I just skip all of the quest dialogue and power through. The fetch quest hell has been pretty bad so far, but I'm guessing thats just the nature of low level MMO tutorials. Hoping it gets better

edit: level 7-8 seems to be the point where it stops being totally on rails and the threeish level 5 areas are all opened up and lets you do things more at your own pace. christ though, it was like 2 hours of running ? to !

How is ps3 performance?
Curious about that too. I'm primarily a PC gamer in general, but I could see myself playing the PS3 version sometimes, particularly since the game won't be dependent on third-party programs to not be awful like FFXI was with Windower.

There are also tasks in the... Hunter's Log I think it's called (I'm at work so can't double-check) that can be repeated per class that you can do. It's accessed from the UI somewhere.

Last beta I played had me running around the city doing boring shit and quest dialogue I couldn't skip through.

So what did they change? I don't feel like reading an interview about GCD or taking it away for some abilities. Anyone have any first hand experience? (I'm also that guy and didn't read every post.)

This is the first time today that I've logged on since I quit playing 2 months after I first bought the game on the initial 1.0 release. I want to point out a few things that I've noticed and what I think are for the better!

-Yes, the cut scenes can use a skip option. However, I happen to enjoy them. They help tell the story. Anyone who's played most FFxx games can agree that this is their M-O.

-The gopher quests. YES! Some of you may think these things stink. But for the newb they are very helpful in familiarizing yourself with the city. You can invest some time into getting these done to get to the meat of your leveling. It shouldn't be too much of an issue.

-The first thing I did notice was how much better this game runs compared to when I first got it. Holy shit, it's like night and day. Everything seems much more organized also. That was one of my gripes was how disorganized everything felt. From the character creation to fighting mobs, shit just felt... tossed in there. Now it's so much easier to understand what the fuck is going on! Kudos to this new crew who took this game and did what they did to it, I love it so far. I'm a Marauder on Marboro. Hugh Morris

-Enjoy this for what it is, not for what it's not. For what I've seen compared to what this game used to be. Fucking wow, amazing job so far!
