Slept on this and started watching yesterday, it is awesome. Skipped over this thread and going in blind, I hope there is a bunch of seasons.

If you ever wanna watch this ya better do it now or pirate it.

In the wake of the merger of Warner Bros. and Discovery, the company has been slashing costs with big cuts coming from the animation department.

That brings us to “Final Space,” the animated sci-fi comedy series which ran for three seasons on the Warner-owned Adult Swim. Though cancelled before the merger, the show’s creator Olan Rogers has now revealed in a social media posting that the series has been taken off all streaming services in the United States.

Specifically, he says the disappearance of the show is due to it becoming a tax write-off and, once Netflix’s license is up and it’s taken down from international markets, it will be gone forever. Olan says in a statement:

“Five years of my life. Three seasons of TV. Blood, sweat, and tears… became a tax write-off for the network who owns Final Space.
Yup. That’s it. That’s why it’s disappeared everywhere in the USA. Five years of work vanished. When the license is up internationally, Netflix will take it down, and then it will be gone forever.
There are no more physical copies of S1 and S2, and no physical copies of Season 3 were ever made. Your memory of Final Space will be the only proof it ever existed unless you own a copy.”

It'll be forever backed up on Usenet.

This is just insane. What a horrifically dystopian way to eradicate a creative product.

This highlights one of the main issues with the decline of the physical media market: It is significantly easier to essentially erase the availability of media
