Because you have to log in to 'both' before you can click through to the PvE mode so the queue is for both services.

Actually I've just been logging in to collect daily bonuses and skill points for quite a while you let the general population catch up and for Canny Valley to be finished.
Tried playing a few games yesterday, most of them no one even joined. Was a joke.

Might fire this back up and give it a try. My friends never really took to this game like I had hoped they would have, been hoping they'd change their minds but no luck yet. I may have a couple starter codes to pass out soon, seems silly to hold onto them for too much longer.

Horde bash is decent imho. its a better stormshield defense.
You have a persistent base you build. your base, +3 allies bases get loaded into every horde map. And, 10 rounds of attacks, which each focus a base.
You start with limited supplies for the persistent base. doing horde mode and leveling the horde mode skill tree, unlocks more materials to build the persistent base, or gives materials for guns/traps.
Each map, your carried materials are set to zero, and you get more mats every round. There is no harvesting. The materials per round allows new building, traps, etc. But these are all reset with a new game.
New heroes are easier to attain this one. 10 games per class for an epic of that class.
Scavenger weapons are also better then hydraulic. Scavenger weapons are high damage, low durability, cheap cost.
Bare in mind, you have to start from level 1. and it uses your regular heroes/schematics.
So, if you are in later zones, and leveled up all your gun schematics to use silver, malachite, etc. you cant use that schematic in the early horde, because you only get copper. which is annoying.

Still loving fortnite (regularly swapping between Rainbow6:Seige, BF4 & Fortnite), but I wish I could spend more time building my shield fort.
There's no way to wipe the slate clean and start over on my shield fort other than knocking it all down, right? How can I get more resources for my shield fort? Should I go run a regular mission and get 999 of all materials, then exit and go back into the shield defense mission?
I just did shield defense 5 and barely made it through. That's the first one I struggled with and I'm still a complete noob, but the mobs aren't attacking from the angles I thought they would and they're avoiding all of the traps I laid out.

Yea, keep in mind that Stonewood is"easy" and you don't need to worry much on it. You can level up, go back and do all the defenses kinda easily without building too much. I forget what level I was, but I did defense #10 with some random guy and duo'd it, I did try to fortify it but most of my layouts were shit.
In Plankerton you'll want to invest more resources. Every time i had 3k resources I'd dump them into the base. It's pretty op, iwent a little overboard lol. I was able to do defense #5 solo without much issue

They have a 3 tile pathing. they will travel 2 tiles left or right to the path of least resistance, towards the mission target. weakness or opening.
you can store things in the stormshield, by loaded it up manually. little point though. only real reason to do so, is to store building mats, which you dont want to build with "right now" for your stormshield. alternatively, just periodically go, and build whenyou are at 999 of mats. recycle extra shitty guns/traps. drop extra copper, etc.
