S1 highlights are the Hoonigan RS200 which is my favorite just-plain-fun car in the game so far. I do practically every PR stunt with it except the speed traps that require 250-300MPH, and it was great for getting all the roads done (still one short, but it appears to be bugged for some people... yay), and I have to say I was shocked how good that Ford van is for road races. Pro-tip, you don't actually need to spend the large amount of credits for an X-class tune to get the Ford of the Rings achievement, I got it just fine using his S1 tune.

A class -- for offroad events I've had good success with his Willys Jeep for scrambles and the 2020 Bronco for the rest. The Exocet I have found to be disappointing. For road/street races, I am a fan of the AMG GT after using it to win the season championship, and for circuit races that are best with a small hot hatch or similar I stick with the '14 Golf R (biased though, my own car is a Mk7 GTI and I made the game's Golf R look exactly like it) that I did a tune for myself.

B/C/D are really easy as long as you don't jack up the drivatar difficulty past above average (maybe highly skilled if you have an exceptionally good car for that tier), basically use whatever cars you enjoy or just like the looks of.

The thing you're thinking of that's actually the times of your friends is the "Rivals" system. You can post a run on a particular race and then people can race against it.

I am playing online. I'm talking about the guys that show up when you play Solo. Not the dudes rolling around the map. This is the dudes when you hit Solo for a race and all your buddies are in the race with you, but others answered the question.

I'm gonna just start playing Rivals so it's actually my buddies I think.

I smoked Pysek in a Rivals race today by like 6 seconds. what a loser.

The only problem is it doesn't count as "completed" on the map for Rivals (just found this out). So I'm having to run it at least twice, once solo, once rivals.

Also, thanks for the AMG GTR recommendation Vorph . I saw a thing recommending the Nissan Skyline GTR 97 and it just wasn't my cup of tea in comparison to the AMG.

Any game that lets me buy an AMC Gremlin AND a Reliant Robin AND put training wheels on the aforementioned Robin is GOAT material.

Yea, and I thought it would put me up against my friends, but it chose a random "rival" of someone I don't even know? That's kinda dumb. Lol. I just want to drive against my friends and talk shit.

Probably? I think that for sure lets you get all your friends into the same game? But that means they have to be playing at the same time that you are.

I think the only car of those I've ridden in was an El Camino, yes I am a redneck why do you ask?

So can anyone tell me how the fuck Arcade clears for the season? Do you have to make it through a certain number of rounds?

Also, can anyone explain Limit Breakers? They keep coming up, but points are never banked. It's basically "drive really fast" but that's not sustainable in their little pink bubble, so I have no clue what you're supposed to do.

Was broken when I did it on the first day of early access too, haven't bothered trying it since then.

So this season championship (the hot hatch one anyway) seemed way easier than the last one. I normally play on average, so 2 settings below, and I don't think I'm particularly good at this game (or racing games in general).

Won the first track by almost 5 seconds, the second was kind of tougher and only .5 sec, and the last by 3 seconds. Pretty much smoked the first one and assumed the difficulty was fucked up.

Edit: Okay, nevermind. Did the Modern Sport one and got obliterated. Maybe it's down to car choice and tune (although my tune seemed good for rally, but I used a Lotus). Lost the first track by thirteen seconds.
