Made me wonder why it was called a Bunker. Then went down that rabbit hole. They are overwhelmingly trying to block out its illustrious history with the Eco Green side or the Luxury side of the renovations. But bunker, not for its underground protection, but Bunker because its protection from air raids. In that it has a thick (I never could find out how thick) steel roof, and thick (how thick, again?) concrete walls. I could have tried harder to find the stuff, I guess. Just got tired of reading about the renovations and how "green" it is now. Really interesting piece of architecture, regardless.

Had to look this up, never knew this was a real pic. That looks like an A-10, I think? From a vanity fair shoot around desert storm.

It's actually called Flakturm IV (anti-aircraft gun tower 4).
It had four 12,8 cm (about 4 chicken wings) AA-guns.
Tho whole building is 75m x 75m (which is about 31 x 31 horses).
The exterior walls are 3,5m (about 3 and a half baseball bats).
The top ceiling - before stuff got built on top - was 5m thick (about 3 average US women).
Looks like the racooncatdog got in on the action as well.
