I’ve been there. Wife and I are driving around West Virginia, we come around a bend and that’s sitting there. I yelled MYSTERY HOLE! and just cut the steering wheel immediately and flew into the gravel lot, wife was cracking up cause I reacted so immediately.
We decided it looked cheesy but couldn’t pass it up, went in. The tour guide so cheesy it reminded me of a movie snake oil salesman or something. Telling lame jokes about not falling behind, the last guy to fall behind was still there, pushed a button and a skeleton falls out of the ceiling.
You go into a room that is tilted like 20 degrees, it’s underground so you have no frame of reference. The room eventually orients itself correctly in your head but there’s all kinds of props in there to fuck with you like a ball hanging from the ceiling, he rotates it and it looks like the ball is defying gravity, rotating at an upwards angle. He took a chair and placed the back two legs this thing piece of moulding on the wall, which made it look like the chair was hovering. Then he jumps up and sits in the chair.
The whole thing was disorienting as hell, it was hard to walk out, I remember my wife felt sick from it. A few pics I took from the last time we went:
