This checks. I count on about 3 fingers the number of gay engineers I’ve worked with in my career.

also, did anyone else steal their dad’s hustlers in the 80’s? The entire print history is archived on Internet archive. And I swear I saw somewhere that Larry Flynt played a role in that. I used to laugh at the absurdity of the Honey comic. One issue had an ugly woman with two vaginas that got plastic surgery.

Erwin Wurm, an Austrian contemporary artist known for his playful and thought-provoking works, has captivated global audiences with his unique approach to sculpture, performance, and photography. Wurm’s creations often blur the lines between humor and seriousness, exploring themes of identity, society, and the human condition. His iconic One Minute Sculptures, created in the 1990s, challenge traditional perceptions of sculpture by involving the audience in the act of creation, making them a part of the art itself. This interactive element speaks to Wurm’s commitment to breaking boundaries and engaging viewers in a dynamic experience.

Wurm’s works, such as those presented by The White Cube, are a testament to his ability to combine wit with critique. His Body Works series, which involves distortions of the human form, comments on the absurdities of contemporary culture, offering a fresh perspective on the everyday. Whether through oversized clothing or contorted figures, Wurm’s art invites viewers to reflect on the absurdity of modern life while providing an engaging and often humorous experience. His ongoing exploration of form and function continues to make him one of the most innovative artists of his generation

Yeah, I had to learn who he was when we went to Germany in '09 because there were just billboards and posters of his name with a picture of a pickle. That's it. No explanation, no where to fInd this "art," no idea it was even "art," nothing. Turns out he just thought taking pickles out of a jar and standing then up was a self portrait.

I dunno. Maybe I just don't understand "art."
