The game is really, really pathetic. It has been in development for 10 years, looks and plays like it has been in development for 10 days.

We all want that EQ experience again, but it's never going to happen. It is a try hard attempt at providing that.
For a game that is so grindy, and that took so long to produce the semi playable version, and the statement of wipes will happen. This made me stop at lvl 10.

Also funny reading the reviews. All these people would have noped out of EQ back in 1999. Like who would want to play a game where you can destroy a weeks worth of effort in a few dumb decisions?

re Pantheon: they’ve been working on the game for a LONG time, and what they’ve got available in EA is not great for a decade worth of work. However, there’s plenty to do and my buddies and I are having a blast finding different places to grind exp and get shiny loots. I’ve definitely gotten my $40 worth, and we are only level 15. I expect we’ll continue to level up and see what adventures we can find. When they do a character wipe I think we’ll all reroll as different classes and give it another go.
