No.

40% of odd-eyed white cats are deaf in the ear corresponding to the blue eye. However, the other ear still has hearing, leading to unilateral deafness rather than complete deafness.

dang,I had this conversation with myself during this very lunch about that, I wasn't sure which fighter they used to destroy it, but I concluded it had to be the F15.
God, from F14 to F22, US planes were really badass.
