I was in Houston back in 2016 getting all my personal belongings on a cargo flight and decided to try one of the local eateries that was high rated. Not knowing the area, I drive to a place called Hippo Burgers. I walked in there and the black lady behind the counter looked at me like I was an alien that just landed it's ship in the parking lot. Food was great and they seem to have expanded since then, but I remember the lady warning me that I needed to be gone by sundown because "white folks don't do well down here after dark." The food was awesome though.

Anytime you’re in some sort of ‘ethnic’ food establishment and it’s all people of that same ethnicity, high chance it’s going to be at worst solid.

A-Salright, anywhere right off the Beltway isn't a Sundown location for whites.
B- isn't bad, I used to live near here 30ish years ago; It was nice and new suburbs then, perhaps it has changed but not get out town whitey. It was mostly latino, though, even back in the day.
C- Magnolia Gardens is a super high crime area near GreensPoint, locally known as "Gunspoint"; don't go there any time of day as any race if you can avoid it.

Edit: Zooming in on your pic, I can see you were indeed at the 2333 Aldine Mail Rte Rd location.

2nd Edit: I grew up near a town of which many people have heard: Vidor, TX, famous for being a "sundown town" where minorities/POC would find themselves in trouble and under threat if they let the sun go down on them while still in town. Vidor was vilified for its history of hate in the 50s-70s and used as a symbol by outside hate groups in the 90s.That she was comfortable telling you that in exactly that way tells you how much things have changed, and not for the better: Nowhere should be a "sundown town/area" for anyone of any race, FFS.
