They made a movie about it, which before I knew it was a true story I thought must be the worse written movie ever, because no one could be that stupid. Only bright side of the movie

The guy pretending to be a police officer on the phone did this 70 some times over the span of 10 years and was acquitted of all charges since he didn't do anything in person
