Lindt and nestle and the likes aren't British though so not sure where you got that from.

And ye the Swiss do good chocolate, even mass manufactured stuff that would be seen as fake compared to proper Swiss chocolate is great, the Milka bars are lovely.
I used to always get them in the airport on way back from Spain and Italy. You can get them in normal shops here of course, but the fact I only got em after holidays or trips kinda made em spesuil.
